its only been a week dude. slow your roll. weight loss is a game of PATIENCE and CONSISTENCY. 7 hours of working out, especially if you are new to it, will result in water weight gain. its not real weight, and not permanent, but does show on the scale. Make sure you are weighing and logging your food ACCURATELY. not with…

there is no one 'right' answer. Do what is best for YOU. I weigh daily now, and have for the past year or so, and use a trending app. I record it on mfp weekly. I used to weigh weekly. I take my measurements monthly.

well, if you are overweight, the thing you have done 'wrong' is .... overeating. It really is that simple.

and.... welcome to MFP where things sometimes work and sometimes dont ;)

ingredients aren't listed in nutrition facts. any calories from an ingredient would be calculated in the nutrition fact breakdown. IE: the carbs in erithrytol is calculated in the total carbs for a serving size for the drink itself.

I *could* have cancer even though I have no signs or symptoms of it, so let me do a few rounds of chemo just for good measure. Do you see how stupid that sounds?

I used to weigh 387 (at least thats the highest RECORDED weight) and have lost 230 pounds. So, it certainly can be done and maintained. That said, I've been at this since 2014. At your current weight, you will lose weight quickly. But it slows, so dont expect it to last at that rate. losing it slower gives your body time…

our liver and kidneys do a really great job of cleansing our bodies. thats kind of their JOB.....

a cucumber? LOL thats ridiculously low. Even my lowest calorie meals are typically around 300-400 and thats LOW, even for me.

its been a week. slow your roll..... weight loss takes time and is not instant. Add in working out longer or harder, and I'm surprised you havent seen the scale go up. ive lost a total of over 200 pounds since 2014. havent gained any back, even when I was not in 'loss mode'. I have many friends who have reached their goal weight and maintained. If you are gaining weight after losing it, you haven't learned how to eat at maintenance. For ME (and everyone is a bit different), I can…

at 29 your metabolism is just fine, unless you have an actual medical diagnosis of a metabolism issue. in any case, weight loss happens in the kitchen and you can not out-exercise your fork.
-
It kind of depends on what your goals are. To lose weight, you dont HAVE to exercise at all, but it certainly has a myriad of other benefits. If you just want to lose weight, any cardio works. Find what you like. Do a mix. I lost over 200 pounds with mostly the elliptical being my only exercise, along with walking. Closer…

welcome! I belong to 2 gyms, one is a 24/7 and is the one my trainer is based out of. That one is further from my home, but is a lot NICER (also more expensive when you factor in my trainer LOL). I dont go at odd hours, but it is nice being able to go on holidays or during the weekend, when my Y (my closer gym) keeps weird…

hi corrine! do you have any specific questions? what are your plans to help you meet your goals?
-
BAHAHAHAAAA if thats the case my body was quite happy being anywhere from 250 and up I am able to maintain my weight (at any given number) fairly easily *IF* i log my food or exercise regularly (3x a week or more). i dont have to do BOTH but I do have to do one or the other, at least for any extended maintenance period…

exactly. oddly enough, as long as ive been here, ive never had any 'strangers' (ie not on my friends list) comment on my diary. and its been open my entire time here, minus about a month last year when I was on a medication that caused me to totally lose my appetite and i wasnt eating. the only reason i closed it then was…

178.7 yesterday. sorry, was busy all day and forgot!

Dont compare your goals or progress to anyone else's. Do you want to lose weight fast and gain it back, or slower and KEEP it off.
-
I took a 2 year maintenance break before continuing on. And had more to go than 9 pounds lol (but had lost 180 or so over a 2 year timeframe). take a break. if you eat at your maintenance for your targeted weight, that will still put in a slight deficit.
-
that is probably the issue, and you should eat back a portion of those.
-
There are no bad foods, just bad quantities! I lost over 200 pounds eating and drinking the same things I always have, just not always in the same AMOUNTS ;)

Fortunately, weight loss happens in the kitchen! Dont forget though, that while you are recovering from your surgery, your body will need extra calories to heal. Don't try to workout before your doctor clears you, and then follow their advice on what and how much!

Welcome! Being a caregiver is hard, I've been there and lost most of my weight while caring for my ex (who was partially paralyzed) and grandparents. What are your plans to help you take care of yourself?
-
hi Samantha! What are your plans for success?
