Wow, well, I have to say I wasn't expecting to have to defend myself here! :/ geez. I work in fashion as a designer. Part of my job is fitting clothing, so size and fit comes up fairly often and i was actually complaining about a particular recent incident. I know i'm a bit too sensitive and insecure about my proportions…

I drink a beer most nights and usually stay within my calorie goal of 1200 cals. It's really about calculating it into your daily intake and not drinking excessively.

Perhaps we should look at this from a perspective of nutrition - Why do humans need to eat? We need to eat to feed our bodies & to produce energy to use our minds. Fast food is simply not nutritious.
