Do you have to let them soak in the water and turn to a gel for the fiber benefit? I've been using them for about 3 months (I take a tablespoon at lunch and dinner) and I just throw them in my mouth and swallow them with a glass of water. I'm just worried about diverticulitis, but I assume they turn to a gel in my stomach.
