I just started 30Day Shred, it also is cardio with a mix of strength training. From what I have read on the message boards circuit training will give you the closest estimate of calories burned for that video, so that's what I've been logging. You'll have to let me know how the Bootcamp is, I'm a big fan of short workouts…

Everyone looks amazing, great job! This is definitely and inspiration to keep me going.

My summer student did this! Day 2 on the job I went to her cubicle and she had half a dozen figurines from a movie, personalized notebooks, a calendar and a wall full of 'inspirational quotes' hand writen on post it notes up. I've been here for 9 months and the only non-office thing I have is a candy jar (empty for the…

The guy who comes in to my office to ask me to help him find something in the database, that I have shown him 10 times already, and instead of watching what I'm doing so he'll know for next time, he starts rifling through documents on my desk and reading them!!! Is it okay to slap his hands, or poke him in the side Ceasar…

I just had a girls night a couple weeks ago, where I found out that 3 of my friends were also using MFP :) We all had extra long workouts that day to make up for what we knew was coming, and it worked great. Cals for the day were a bit high, but not anything too ridiculous. I'm just glad that they refused to stop at the…

One of my favorites: Boneless, skinless salmon fillet, cover with dijon mustard all over, sprinkle chives, then you wrap 2 slices of smoked prociutto around it and bake it. it gets nice and crispy on the outside, I'm not a big fish lover but I do like this one.

Maybek you guys can help me. I've been trying some Vegan recipes but haven't had much luck finding nutritional yeast, that is in quite a few receipes. Will the recipes come out completely off if I just omit that ingredient?

Beer, well decent beer anyway. This weekend I tried Molson 67, since it only has 67 calories... but actually 70 calories for a can, it was horrible. Carbs too, but with MFP I find that I look at the calories on something and decide that it's just not worth it, and make myself a pot of tea instead.

I don't like running either (hate it actually), but I'm stubborn and wanted to get a couple check marks on my bucket list. I ran a 10k a couple of years ago with not much training ahead of time, and all of it on the treadmill. I just signed up for a half marathon after not running since the 10K (2 years ago). If you have…

Thanks for the opinions and the suggestions.

I checked out the Hal Higdon program and it looks do-able, even though I'm one week short of his timeline. Signed up and going for it, I don't need to have the best time in the world I just need to finish... hopefully not last :)

We're renovating our basement right now and I haven't logged any of the hours spent insulating, dry walling or painting. I figure it will just balance out the calories that get neglected when I'm not 100% accurate in measuring my portions or when MFP calories are a little light with some of the items listed.

I don't run right now. I do cycle into work every day, which is about a 15km round trip, and do 45 min of cardio 4 days a week, either eliptical or brisk walking. I just want to make sure that I have a realistic time line before I decide to bust my butt just to disappoint myself. I can start tonight, just have to find a…

I could not stand onions or tomatoes. As strange of a kid I was, I remember scraping the onions off of the liver and chowing down on that, I looooooved liver! I only got over my hate for tomatoes when I went to Europe. The food I had there was so fresh and delicious that it had a completely different taste. There wasn't…

I always wonder if what I see in the mirror is how other people really see me, since you can't really take your head off and get a good look at your body. I'll ask my sister or friends what size their pants are so i can figure out if that's what I look like if it's the same size I wear. It's a wierd obsession, and like my…

I blame living with the boyfriend for at least 50% of the weight gain, it's not his fault though, it's actually mine. My dad's side of the family is from Germany where they say 'the way to the heart is the stomach', so now I'm cooking a lot more meals and it's so good that I eat more than I normally would. When I lived…

Why is it that the weight never 'sneaks off', just on? Good luck! :)

it's definitely easy to get lots of walking in, cabs are next to impossible to come by this time of year. I suppose I could have one bite of a deep fried twinkie and then give the rest of it to my BF :) ....and there's a grilled cheese sandwich truck parked outside of my office building right now.

Another Albertan here, an Ontario transplant actually. Once I saw the mountains I know that I made the right decision to move west :)
