Dope, I had seen your threads in the past actually and that was how I first decided to do Madcow. I do a lot of walking (I'm a waiter) so my deficit has been mainly, but not exclusively, through exercise. I've been in a slight deficit for a long time and in fact I will start eating at least maintenance once I move to a…

Okay, lots of comments so I'll reply individually. Sara, I recorded some videos this morning of squat, bench and row. Shall I post it here or in the form critique thread? In terms of where I am failing: Squats, getting out of the hole. When I do get out and grind the rep out I get sort of shaky if that makes sense;…

My goal is to increase strength yes. Maybe a competition by the end of the year. I'd like to be able to sprint faster and jump higher, and later this year I plan on starting gymnastics, but that's another story. I'm sort of progressing in Madcow. I had been progressing as the plan was laid on everything, but by the end of…

I've only had the cinnamon flavour. Overrated as hell.

Hodgetwins are funny as hell but generally not that accurate. But in this case they are right. I haven't seen the video but if they did say "Creatine is like steroids" then it's true. It's also true that weight training is like steroids and running is like steroids. If you stop taking steroids, you might lose muscle and…

I've not actually tried this but I will tomorrow. My friend Dan from HomePhysique was kind enough to send me a bunch of supplements for free and actually sent me a small container of this. I normally don't take supplements (except whey and creatine) as I don't feel they make a significant difference so I'm sort of looking…

Seems to me like he didn't learn much training with the marines. Either you aren't giving an accurate explanation of his gym routine or he has no idea what he is doing in the gym. Tell him to get his act together and do his research.

I am studying political science. I suggest you read a book on managing ethnic conflict, such as Ethnic Groups in Conflict by Donald Horowitz. :)

For some yes it can be, but for others it is simply not the case. Depression is like a moving target. It's different for everyone, and understanding it rather than making generalisations about people is a major step towards helping those with depression.

@ell_v131 Your heels come of the ground a lot too in most of the reps and you proceed to place the emphasis on the inside of your feet (by that I mean the middle of your foot behind the toe) which could be because you have really flat feet. I'm not sure how much of a problem this is for squats so others' feedback would me…

I can do about 7-9 at 64kg bodyweight. Tried the hook grip mate?

Do not put such media created, abominable body image labels upon yourself. You are human being.

I plan to for the foreseeable future. I can spare 5 minutes of my time and so can everyone else who has the time to post replies on the comments and read posts. If I am on holiday then no, I won't.

Generally anything by American College of Sports Medicine would be nationally (and internationally) recognised. Most nutritionists will have spent time at university to get a degree in public health or something similar and then go on to be a registered dietician. Might be helpful but it's for the UK…

As Fullsterkur woman has said, unless you are diabetic, blood sugar levels, and the glycemic index, isn't really an issue. It's been blown way out of proportion by magazines and TV shows and even the experts who should know better based on the current science. The GI on a food changes when it is consumed with another food.…
