DOMS (Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness) is what you are experiencing It is normal for someone who trains hard when they change routines. You should read the wikipedia article on it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Delayed_onset_muscle_soreness

I just wanted to jump in as I am roughly the same height although a bit lighter at about 6'1 220lbs. My wife has been telling me I don't need to loose any more but I don't listen I have a goal and that is what I am focused on. You should pretty much throw out BMI it is useless. I am still listed as Overweight with a BF% of…

The animal fats thing comes from the Primal Blueprint book by Mark Scisson and to be quite honest I'm not sure why I put that in there since I eat very very little animal fats most of my fats come from almonds and soy.
-
Hey I am a fellow P90Xer I currently eat 1900-2100 calories per day with a 20/40/40 (C/P/F) with the emphasis on good fats like nuts, avacado and animal fats. I am 6'1 221

You should definetly get a HRM with a calorie counter. Knowledge is power I worked out without one for years now I hate not having it.

A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on. Winston Churchill I also have a higher than average heart rate when working out. You can do a Max HR test to find your true Max HR then find your zones. My computed max is 192 but my real Max is around 205bpm.

Great Job love the X

I recommend getting a HRM that tracks calories and then enter a custom Instanity workout into the workout database. I'm still doing P90X and thats what I do to track my calories. I have Insanity and have done Pure Cardio as a substitute for Kenpo X that was a tough 35 minutes.

The first picture is at 265 lbs and the second is from my first round of P90X. P90X Day 0 227 lbs Day 90 221

I recently started cutting my carbs to to 100g per day I am a 225 lb male. It has been working well for me so far I was on a 40/40/20 diet last time I did P90X and only lost 6 lbs the entire program, I have lost 9 in the first 30 days this time. You should try different things to figure out what works for you. The level of…

This question is impossible to answer without the context of what the ultimate goal of working out is. If you are looking to build serious muscle soreness is the best indicator. "A recently developed theory states that delayed onset muscle soreness is caused by the breakdown of muscular fibres. This is particularly…

I am a big fan of the Beachbody products. I personally use P90X however there are other programs with varying levels of intensity. I think a lot of people do Turbo Jam as a good stepping stone.

Amazing great work

Wow lots of mac fans. Mac's are great however they are usually 1.5 to 2 times as much as similar PC systems. I do have some insight into PCs the main issue that most people run into with reliability and performance of systems is when they buy the entry level computer of any manufacturer. They may have the same…

I use the polar S210 and my wife uses the Sunto T1. I would recommend the Sunnto because it is reasonably priced had great functions and user replaceable batteries.
-
According to my HRM I typically burn between 600-1000 per workout but I am 6'1 220 lbs my wife typically burns 250-450
-
The zones calculated by most sites are estimates based upon averages. Some people have signifigantlyl higher or lower Maximum heart rats than others. I have a higher max heart rate than the charts typically show. Mine is around 205 as a 27 yo male. which according to conventional maximums should be 193 (220-age). But for…

I have a Polar RS Series and I bought my wife the Sunto T1 they both work great the Sunto was only like 80 bucks off Amazon and works great.

The workouts are between 45 minutes to 90 minutes each. Most are 1 hour with a 17 minute ab routine afterwards. They are 6 days per week with rest or stretching on the 7th day. I am currently on day 44 of the program and am getting reasonable results. I believe if you follow the nutrition guide very closely that comes with…
