I lost around 45 lbs in 2008 and have maintained that weight +-15 lbs since then. So I started at 265 in April of 2008 and dropped down to 220 since then I have been as high as 235 and as low as 205.

I started my transformation before beachbody but the attached pictures are since beginning beachbody programs. I have done P90X, Insanity, P90X+, and TH 1on1's. I am currently doing Asylum. The pictures are from before starting Asylum. About 6-7 lbs ago. The weight change is from 227-210

Train up to at least 10 miles. Bring energy gels or chews. Train on terrain similar to where you are running. Get to the starting line and try to align with your correct pace runners if it is a large race. If you have a time goal in mind bring a running watch to keep track of your mile times. Try to stay positive and only…

I weigh every day when not on the road for work. I weigh first thing in the morning but I also know that weight is not the whole picture. I also take skinfold measurements every two weeks to check my bodyfat percentage. Because to me losing weight is about losing bodyfat while trying to maintain muscle mass. Weighing every…

I Disagree with everyone mainly because that protein powder is not a post workout designed supplement. Postworkout shakes have lots of carbs in them. You should drink it 1 hr before your workouts and then again after your workouts mixed with Dextrose in a 2:1 or 3:1 Carbs to Protien Ratio. I personally drink a shake with 2…

You can mix the Whey gold with Dextrose to get to the appropriate carbs to protein ratio. I personally use Optimum Nutrition's 2:1:1 recovery drink mixed with orange juice, water and glutamine for post workout and Whey Gold mixed with Almond Milk 1-2 hrs pre workout. There are other recovery drinks that are more reasonably…

The reason I suggest all of those sites is because those are the measurements where you will see the progress you are making and it is easy to get discouraged when you don't see progress in the area you are measuring. Your body will choose where it will lose fat and it wont always be even I have gone 2 weeks without seeing…

The last bit of my goals are very tough for me as I find myself starting to cheat a bit more. I am going to make it to 200 by the end of the month. Mark my words LOL!!!

Its a great workout for loosing weight. I am doing the Asylum right now which I like better than the original Insanity.

Change in diet mostly. I actually had more muscle when I was 265. I was lifting weights then as well but had a horrible diet. Lost the first 35 lbs running and lifting on my own then started doing P90X a little over two years ago. Still not to my goal which is a 6 pack but slowly getting closer.

I also do the breathing rythmically. I have a problem taking a single long deep breath because I feel it messes up my running rythm so I take 4 short inhalations with 4 short exhalations. So it pretty much looks like this in-in-in-in---out-out-out-out. Another tip that i realized while watching my wife run a couple years…

I eat Cliff Builders bars as one of my 6 meals. Takes care of my chocolate craving and at 270cal 30g carbs 8g fat and 20g protein is a great solution for me.

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our Light, not our Darkness, that most frightens us.” -Marianne Williamson The first run back after an extended time of is always a time of anxiety for me. I know for me it was not wanting to really know how…
