Oh Yes, the power of positive thinking works for real! I would stay at each level for 2 weeks or more, I don't think a week is long enough because of life anomalies. The diet mentality course was very intense. It opened up the bare bones of the psychology we have associated with our bodies, self worth etc. It's tough!…

I know you will think I'm crazy, but I only stopped freaking when I stopped weighing. I had to take a step back and think what if? What if there were no scales? What if the battery ran out and I didn't replace it? What if I changed my focus to mood, energy, stress levels? It's tough, but stopping weighing was the best…

Hi @De_Little_Engine Welcome to the group! What are your goals? Are you looking to eat at maintenance (are you coming from a diet/reduced calorie place) or going straight into a cut? Ichel EM2WL ambassador and moderator

Nope. Completely normal. Don't worry about it. You are amongst friends here. You help other people by talking your way through things. This is not a quick and easy solution. Much better to discuss things here than just silently panic, slash calories and go back to square one. It's all just part of the process and we get…

Good job! 'Ate all the good and felt good' - this is what we like to hear! Let us know how you feel this week! Ichel EM2WL ambassador and moderator

Glad it's getting a bit better. The ideas in the link that Tereza posted are great!

Hi Carol Yes, just keep increasing until you get to the 1750-1850 calories. That's all you need to do for now, don't worry about anything else or what your next move will be. Just get there first! Ichel EM2WL ambassador and moderator

It is a frustrating journey sometimes, but you've got to keep in mind the bigger picture. The reset really starts when you get to TDEE consistently and you haven't got there yet! Patience is key during this time. Give yourself time to repair all those years of damage done with lower calorie. It will take a while but you…

Nice work on the TDEE eating! Start of a new phase for you! Ichel EM2WL ambassador and moderator

Hey @DesireeNL Just jumping in to say, excellent question! I love how you have clearly done your reading and research and know the basics already. Kelly said it all really! 15% cut is a maximum, so in your case, a 5 or 10% cut should be just right. Ichel EM2WL ambassador and moderator

How awesome is it that you are having such a changing and positive influence on your husband.! This blog might be useful reading as Jeanetta dealt with insulin resistance. http://eatmore2weighless.com/jeannetta-a-transformation-story/ Ichel EM2WL ambassador and moderator

Mary Ann these are amazing! Have you ever thought of making them and selling them? It would help others tremendously avoiding those massive costs of the splints from the 'official' company and could be a source of income for you too. And your wire decorations would for sure sell before Christmas on Etsy or somewhere…

Yay! I've just recently gone up 2 sizes in cup size, even though clothes are fitting everywhere else. Lots of people complain that they lose a lot of bust size as they lose fat, but I haven't found that yet, either. More food and resistance training = hanging onto more boobage! :D Ichel EM2WL Ambassador and Moderator

Good plan! It's weird how we can be given all the evidence and still ignore the real truth staring us in the face! Cognitive dissonance I guess. You're on the right track now though, I'm sure your friends will be pleased with the changes you are making and you will always have our full support here. Ichel EM2WL ambassador…

Plus, I got my husband to start working out too. Not the same living a long healthy life if it's not shared with him. Keep eating and working out and as you develop more muscle, your bingo wings will fly away! Ichel EM2WL ambassador and moderator

Hey @dejavuohlala Never too old for muscles! Have you seen Ernestine Shephard? http://ernestineshepherd.net/?p=4 80 years young!

Hi Sunshine2373 I would highly recommend that you eat at TDEE for a prolonged length of time before trying to cut. http://eatmore2weighless.com/the-metabolism-reset-guide/ Also, if your TDEE is 2700, then a 1900 calorie cut is way too steep a deficit. We recommend a 10-15% cut at max. The ups and downs of dieting are very…

Yay, sometimes we just have to embrace the changes in our body and start to wear different styles of clothes. I know Kiki said she had to totally change the style of jeans she wore, and when she bought them in bigger sizes, like 2-3 sizes bigger, people kept telling her to stop losing weight! It is more mental mind games,…

Yay for muscles! You should notice your day to day, functional strength increase as well. Like carrying shopping bags that you used to struggle with etc. I love the feeling of being strong just for all the stuff I can get done. Ichel EM2WL Ambassador and moderator

Love your resourcefulness! You are amazing! Ichel EM2WL Ambassador and moderator

Lentil soup over sweet potato? Why have I never tried this?????? Can you meal prep for me too please? And @sevio the inches lost are so good! Remembering at this point, when we are trying to reach TDEE, we don't even usually see or feel changes as this time is all about the healing of mental and physical. So don't get…

Gah! Why has my comment become the invisible man!!!!! What I said was..... I do know of other EM2WL'ers who have done it doing Keto so it can be done, just takes a bit more planning. Like I'm vegan, and it can be done, just need to tweak things and do them slightly differently. It's your life, your rules! If being Keto is…

Hey @zanyzana I didn't know either! (UK here) I thought it was the end of November but this explains it perfectly! November 25, 2016 This year Black Friday lands on November 25, 2016. Black Friday is always the day following Thanksgiving Day which is celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November. Black Friday typically…

Yes, something many of us fall into, underestimating activity level. I know I did! Good news! More food! And well done for spotting it yourself rather than just blindly following your originally calculated numbers! Ichel EM2WL ambassador and moderator

Hi @jerilynconn Good to see you back! Even if you aren't 'seeing' any changes now, stay consistent with your current routine of lifting, protein and the compound effect will catch up with you and you will see and feel changes in the months to come. Ichel EM2WL ambassador and moderator

Pants not fitting in the rear but still fitting in the waist is a good indicator of a changing body shape due to gains! I always think, if you had no gadgets etc to measure with, how would you mark your progress? How are clothes fitting elsewhere? We often need to change the style of clothes we wear to fit our changing…
