I would still totally go for STS. You should be able to adapt certain exercises but I wouldn't skip the leg workouts all together. You may find that building strength in the supporting muscle, tendons and ligaments around your knees, actually helps with the knee pain. I have a friend who has knee problems, actually had one…

@beverlyriley900 If you check out Cathe.com she has workout sheets you can print out for STS. They were really useful for me. I still have them from when I last did STS as it's a great reminder to see how far you progress. Ichel EM2WL ambassador and moderator

@jvezzsb01 No YOU are fantastic! It takes a lot to even admit openly that you are struggling through this. Your honesty and openness will help others more than you know. We've got you.

Yay Mary Ann! This is a GREAT week! Ichel EM2WL ambassador and moderator

I get you! At the minute I feel like I'm growing wings as my lats are developing! This is why it's so important to take pictures. Sometimes there is no change in measurements, clothes still feel the same but something feels different. When you compare pictures, there it is! A new change in shape, a little muscle peaking…

@beverlyriley900 Are you going through phases of different rep ranges? http://eatmore2weighless.com/periodization-key-preventing-plateaus/ It is essential in order to keep progressing. Ichel EM2WL ambassador and moderator

This is totally when you need to just keep pushing when everything is telling you stop. Weight gain is just part of this process as your body re adjusts. This is temporary. The changes you are making are for a lifetime. I'm hearing a lot of diet mentality and anxiety from you so maybe you need to take a step back. Lots of…

I love the fact you are willing to keep pushing and trying with your TDEE. Great attitude. I know the protein can be challenging. I'm like @Raynn1 and get around 250g protein per day. I realised a long time ago I could only get there with protein shakes. I go for natural plant based ones and it's just part of my routine…

Good stuff @SusanMFindlay Notice any positive changes physically or mentally from eating more, more regularly? Ichel EM2WL ambassador and moderator

This is just amazing! What an achievement! Are you finding it's easier to eat TDEE now, without checking in on the scale? Ichel EM2WL ambassador and moderator

Just make sure the 'get to TDEE' voice shouts louder!

Yay! Look at you go! It's the best when we just settle in and it becomes habit. STS is a great programme. You're going to love it, I know it. Ichel EM2WL ambassador and moderator

Awesome! Totally your life, your rules. It's working out a way that becomes a sustainable lifestyle which you certainly sound like you are doing! Have you had a look at our 7 day protein challenge? http://eatmore2weighless.com/eat-enough-protein/ This a can help kick start the habit. Protein was my biggest blind spot. I…

@Sumiblue you said everything so well. We seriously don't mind you chiming in, in fact we positively encourage it! Look how much knowledge you have that you are able to pass onto others to help them ❤️ Kenny, we were where you are. We know how impatient you get with just wanting this weight off now. But these weight loss…

@zanyzana is absolutely spot on! She is totally 'getting' the EM2WL lifestyle ❤️ I really don't like the idea of 'cheat' days or 'cheat' meals. That's diet mentality and EM2WL is not a diet. You should be eating enough calories that you can include your favourite foods into your every day goals. Cheat days and meals are…

I like my Fitbit charge HR, I do manually add in my strength training. It made me realise just how much more active I was than I thought. It confirmed I needed to increase calories. They are good as a guide to hit. Ichel EM2WL ambassador and moderator

Woo hoo! What great progress! Look how far you have come? Doing so much better in such a short time. Imagine how good things will be in a month, six months, a year............ Ichel EM2WL ambassador and moderator

Sorry to hear you were in pain this week. Hoping you have a better week. Ichel EM2WL ambassador and moderator

Yay! Good for you for putting the scale away! I know that can't of been easy. I'm sure your body and mind will benefit hugely from having that stress taken away. You really are doing great. I love the fact that you have made that commitment to eat more for the rest of the year too. Seriously, you're doing SO good! Ichel…

Hi @SusanMFindlay Great to see you here! As I was reading through, I was thinking, yeah I bet you are more than lightly active! Two young children and being a teacher you are doing a lot before you even start working out! I love having a home gym! Hope you can get that sorted out! 2000 calories is still a really steep…

@gunnerslove77 Welcome to the group! The great thing about the EM2WL lifestyle is that you will feel less and less likely to want to binge as you eat more food consistently. No foods are forbidden! If you want to eat a bit of chocolate every day, you can. Just incorporate it into your daily calorie goals and macros. Have…

Ok. Have you been dieting at all in the past few months/years? Is your goal to lose weight? Fat? Change your body shape? Feel healthier? Stronger? Look good naked? All of the above? Just trying to figure out the best advice to give you. Ichel EM2WL ambassador and moderator

I agree with starting with a reset. It's hard to get the calories up to start with, but if you just try to increase by 50-100 you can get there! Try including full calorie versions of foods rather than the low calories/low fat versions you may have gotten used to while eating low calorie. Including foods like nuts, oils,…

That's great that you're going to meet with a trainer! Let us know how that goes! A new lifting routine will transform your body and mind and will give you extra calories to play with too. Strength training is more important for fat loss than cardio. As we say, weights to transform, cardio for fun. Can't wait to hear how…

This is excellent progress. And remember, when you are trying to reset or eat at TDEE, we don't expect to see any loss in inches etc. You are having some great body recomposition. Do you notice any difference in your shape in different places as well as the measurements? Ichel EM2WL ambassador and moderator

That's the best NSV @Sevio Nice! Ichel EM2WL ambassador and moderator

Moderately active sounds fine as it's definitely not sedentary! Yes, I would hold at those calories for a month and see where you are after that. You may be more active than you think and may need to inch up the calories again. But definitely sounds like you are in a good place to wait it out and evaluate after a few more…

Love your focus! If we focus on the positives like you have, great news on the better posture!, we can crowd out the negative thoughts. Try to change your thought analysis from fat or thin to confident? Content? Discouraged? Strong? Tired? See the difference? Just takes the edge of judging yourself for your physical and…

Hey @tj0861 What do the calculators give you as an estimate for your TDEE? Usually when we think about dropping calories is exactly when we should be adding. Ichel EM2WL ambassador and moderator
