  • I have the Garmin Vivosmart. I upgraded after previously using the Body media band. This one goes on your wrist and tracks calories, sleep, steps etc. I have a heart rate monitor to use with it. It is a chest strap but you only use it when you're working out. The wrist band is also a watch, and mine is blue tooth capable…
  • First of all, great job, wonderful before and after and great dedication. I just wanted to add thank you for the above comment as I had my last pizza meal Sunday and made a 180 in my eating habits starting Monday. I just finished day two and it really helped me to hear that someone else just kicked it.
  • Wow, those are some amazing results for 30 days! Great job, your abs look so toned now. I have that video but just use it on occasion, never tried it for what it was intended.
  • Wow, you look great, and you're beautiful. Fantastic job and dedication. You remind me a lot of myself, I have the overweight photos of me in the hospital and I remember thinking I had to do something about it for the precious child I was bringing into the world. Congrats on your success!
  • Yep, same weight. I was sad I didn't take another before photo, but I think this helps people more who may not be seeing the scale move to know this program definitely changes your body!
  • Before the pics I want to add a little more info too. I took my before pic when I first started October 2012, then did it for a week and decided to start again after the holidays. Well the holidays hit me hard and I gained 10 lbs before I started it again, however I didn't take new photos. After 1 round of Insanity I lost…
  • I went to my local Tradehome store where they sell many different brands of shoes and told them what kind of exercise I did and they helped me pick out the ones that would be good for that. I would have normally went for a well known brand like Nike or something, but after trying on a few pairs I ended up with Brooks…
  • Yea, I noticed in my butt and my abs the most. Some of the results I can feel more than see in a picture too. My abs are definitely firmer!
  • Great job! I went to the movies today, unprepared but only purchased a small popcorn to share with my two girls and only ate maybe 1/3 of it so still only got a couple hundred calories, along with my partial soda. It was a nice little treat but I didn't overindulge. I did however stick in a 30 min workout dvd this evening…
  • Thanks guys, it really helps to hear all the positive feedback. Just what I needed to help me keep going!
  • Great job, looking good! I just did the same thing myself. I actually came across some "before" pictures I took in my bra and underwear a few years ago when I was 263 and now I'm down to 183 going for about 160. I was amazed. I'll probably wait to share those till I'm completely done (if I get brave). It definately gave me…
  • You just might be amazed how you feel after the 1st month. But what if you did 7 weeks of month 1? If you don't want to do that then I'd definately save the recovery week for between the 1st and second month before you step it up.
  • Another update to help everyone who is working on insanity. I just got a "fitness test" at the gym today to compare my body fat percentage and just from Insanity it has gone down 4.6% from 29.6% to 25% body fat. The instructor who did my pinch test was amazed that it was such a difference with just a few lbs lost!

  • I just finished Insanity this past weekend and prior to that I still couldn't do this. I never thought it would help with my running but I just decided to see how far I could get in 10 min today, striving for 1mi. and when I actually did it I couldn't believe it. I think Insanity helped not only with my fitness and…
  • Thanks everyone for the nice comments! Can't wait to be able to share my final transformation.
  • Just finished my last fit test so I thought I'd share my starting and ending result too: Switch Kick 54 to 116 Power jacks 40 to 52 Power Knees 70 to 107 Power Jumps 20 to 40 Globe Jumps 8 to 11 Suicide Jumps 16 to 24 Push-up Jacks 2 to 24 Low Plank Oblique 30 to 66
  • Great job, you look like a different person and even younger than before.
  • You could have been me with that post. Exactly what I've been thinking for some time. I've tried everything, milk with sugar, creamer with sugar, splenda, honey etc and if it tastes good it's about the same calories anyways and splenda just was yucky. I tried the sugar free and low fat creamers too and although they didn't…
  • I hate to be a downer but I am a wedding photographer and personally girls who are bigger up top and end up getting strapless dresses usually end up with some type of muffing top or fat hanging over the top especially around the arms and back. I would suggest seeing if it can be altered to help with this and allow for a…
  • Funny, I just googled this today as I started to feel a little under the weather and I'm hoping I don't get sick in which I cant work out. I read that if it's just in your head and no fever it's ok to work out but don't overdo it. However if you have a fever don't work out cause it could raise your body temp even more to…
  • It's up to you really. I usually count those as extra credit calories and it makes me feel good to know I went over and above. I usually don't long them, but then again I wouldn't rule it out. Remember logging is for YOU to make sure you keep yourself on track. If you want to log them, log them, but keep with your standard…
  • Great job! Nice improvement!
  • Great job you guys, thanks for sharing. I'm so excited to see how much I improve in the future, keeps me going.
  • Great job, I also do Insanity and just finished week 3! I can't believe I'm getting so close to being done with the 1st half! I too improved on my fit test and am excited to see how much better I do next time. Keep up the good work!
  • Wow, fantastic transformation in a short period of time. Helps me to know I too can push harder!
  • If it makes you feel any better I previously tried insanity before the holidays and I could only do 1 not so good push up jack. I only made it to the 2nd fit test (two weeks) before I decided not to do it through the holidays and begin again in the new year but I had already increased to 5. I was just happy I could…
  • Wow, so exciting to see someone just like me! I was 263 at my heaviest also, and I'm also 5'8". I started working out in 2011 and am at 189 now. My goal is 160 as of now. I'd love to friend you since our stories are so similar.
  • I'll add you too. I am 35 and started on my weight loss journey two years ago at 263 lbs. I got down to 178 before the holidays, then just got tired of all the working out and took a break, more like a "binge" and ate anything and everything I wasn't allowing myself to. I did gain back a few pounds and I'm back at 190 but…
