I have an '85 Mustang GT waiting patiently for me to make it look better and currently drive an '04. The electrical gremlins have invaded the 04, but the 85 is a champ! Still wouldn't change the '04 (unless it was to upgrade to another). Funny thing when you find a car that fits both size and personality, you don't want to…

Currently waiting for project money...... I've it parked at the side of the house. It say college abuse (reduced funds) lent it to a TALL roomate a few times who hastened the seat breaking, and has had a semi-rough life. Looked to sell it once, but the wife said, "You can't sell my boyfriend's car!" LOL Plans are to punch…

I think the best thing you can do is include your physician with the decision. About my sophomore college year I weighed at 200 for a 5' 8 frame (BMI 29, BF = 18%) and was very active, biking, walking, basketball and racquetball every day and actually eating healthy. I asked for his opinion as I was always "bigger" and he…

Have been training a little over a year in American Kenpo (a version from Ed Parker). The whole family is involved and the two oldest kids are Black Belt (BB) Candidates  and will take their BB test in October. I'm doing it mainly for the exercise. I've known for years, that I need to enjoy what I'm doing with…

Stretching and any cardio (which is also great for weight loss/control). I find that when I perform a kata correctly and at about a speed of 5-6 (10 being a tournament speed), I'm sweating after 1 minute (could be my body type/condition :]). cycling, jump roping, running come to mind first. Your correct to focus on your…

It's a common theme. Look at the success section and you'll find many threads about weighing the same at different points in the losing game or even gaining. Look at the pictures, it's becoming toned and fit, not just losing weight. At the end of the day, it is about being healthy, not just into a weight category.

There is a section where you can create your own recipes and it calculates the nutritional information. I do it in the mobile app (iphone) haven't tried on the computer yet. Not all ingredients may be available in the database, but I know you can add some specific to your foods. There are also other food or calorie…

You may just need to adjust your exercise routine due to the schedule and conditions/equipment you have. The temptation to "grab a bite" will be big with a non-normal schedule. Keep some healthy alternatives nearby/stocked to prevent the "munchies", like veggies or healthy nuts. Above all, don't fret if a day or two has…

thanks man. Yes it can be, taking care of family leaves little project money. :)

A classic 1980 Suzuki GS850L. Been riding street for 15 years, licensed for almost 30 (time off for starting and keeping a family) and have ridden dirt for 10 years. "You don't see a motorcycle parked in front of a psychiatrist's office"!

I don't and would use it sparingly. Silver is toxic to micro-organisms (which is why it helps healing those scrapes and cuts) and can be so to humans as well. It is actually considered one of EPAs metals of concern for waste in determining if they are toxic! Micro amounts are useful, I will agree and if I remember right a…

You can add me as well. I understand about keeping it simple @ninatoots, so much time in the day, and spend too much of it on the e-devices as it is. Happy to say "Suck-it-up Garth! Do another one!" anytime. :D

Are you tracking your eating habits? I understand the frustration. I applaud that your working out and willing to make a change. Maybe you've cut too much from your diet. The best explanation I've heard and it is simple, eat healthy snacks during the day. If your body's metabolism is like a fire and the calories you feed…

Not familiar with "Walk Away the Pounds", but it sounds as it could be done daily. @iloso & @goatfishtwo are very correct that you need to let your muscles recover when they've been worked out hard. Look over your program and see if it can be split into two or three types of exercise and do them in a cycle.

I peeked :o! I did mine Thursday, and Tuesday! (part of my normal workout class, just happened to have included them). My arms/chest remind me of the joke, " I just flew in from Albuquerque and boy, are my arms tired!" Willing to try the next challenge! (Sit-ups/crunches aren't as easy)

Don't drink tea(s), but I don't count the others unless I'm creating a recipe. For example, tonight I added parsley to my carrots and had olive oil and basil on some spaghetti. Calories and nutrition from herbs and spices typically <2 for each one in a recipe. It's really not worth the effort, consider fresh herbs to be a…

I notice a variation of about 5 pounds daily (when I feel like it, I weigh morning and night). I log my weight weekly. Yes, I'm serious about losing weight, but not anally so. The body fluctuates due to physical activity, calories consumed, and how those calories are made up. The important trend is are you losing? I'm just…
