I have seen the same problems. I just use my FitBit now & figure the mph using http://www.csgnetwork.com/directmph.html. Then I just log the walk into MapMyFitness.

Exactly that! If I know someone else can look at it, I pay more attention. Like today, had a over active day & big calorie adjustments, wasn't all that hungry but knew I had to put some fuel in me or MFP friends were going to call me out on the very low net!

What I was told by a personal trainer is that you need to eat your BMR (which is located under tools). For me, my daily goal calories are 1,300 but my BMR is 1,429. As long as I am eating the 1,439 along with exercise, I am within my goals. It has helped for me, have lost 6 of the 10 pounds.
