That does make sense. I honestly couldnt figure out what the heck had happend. From what I had read they said no more than a month to reset the metabolism. Perhaps longer for me. I'm going to try eating at BMR for the next month and see what happens. Thanks

I'm really feeling your pain. When I first started back on the right track in January I was eating super clean no carbs except fruit and lentils, split peas and chick peas. I lost 10 lbs by the end of the month. Then plateaued for a month. When I started tracking I realized I was eating way below 1000 cal and netting less…

Hey I know how easy it is to get discouraged. And having a thyroid issue doesnt help. Are you on medication for your thyroid? Im just a few years older than you and have been struggling for 3 1/2 months to loose weight. One issue I realized was that I wasnt even eating enough for my body to function. I would suggest you…

Your not the only one. I have only lost 10lbs in the past 4 months and that keeps fluctuating up and down 5 lbs. I am busting my butt in the gym and eating enough making sure my protein count is high. Still no results. No inches, no lbs. I hate it, but I'll be damned if Im going down with out a fight! I got 25-50 lbs I…

I feel your pain. I really do. Since January I restarted working out in hopes to loose the last 50lbs from all the weight I gained after my third child. This has by far been the hardest few years of trying to loose weight than it ever has been for me before. Its been very daunting. I lost 10 lbs in January and havent lost…

Like some of the PP I agree your probably not eating enough. If your walking 25 miles per week thats a lot of work on the body and requires fuel. I had a similar issue and was plateaued for six weeks. I suggest you try using one of those sites to figure out your BMR which will tell you how many calories you need to eat to…

I think its a good thing to eat back those calories. I just realized that I was eating way too little calories and not eating back my exercise calories and in essence plateaued myself for six weeks. Sucks to have that kind of set back. Now I have upped my calories and make sure to eat back my exercise ones. Crossing my…

Hello Ladies. I havent posted my progress yet so this will be the first. I''m 5'5.5 and I have been struggling to loose weight since I had my third child in 2009. So far I have gone from a size 26 jeans to a size 18 and counting. My hips have gone down from 54' to 47'. SW-260 CW-207 GW-170 for now. [/url] January 2010 @…

To be honest, I had a hard time last year loosing weight. I did what the experts told me, I worked out 4-5 days a week for an hour, I did the strength training like they told me and the cardio. I only lost 20 lbs over the whole year. And yes there were months I lost nothing! That said I did loose some inches during the…

Hips are a problem area for me as well. Takes longer to loose there. Unfortunately when we loose weight we cannot control where the fat leaves. I have read some books on theories about eating certain types of food to loose weight in certain areas. Do not know how good they are. Maybe up the amount of time you do cardio,…

I have a podcast I listened to. The speakers are a nutritionist and body builder. They say if you do one like for cleansing only do like one day on and one day off and to make sure that you eat a lot of protien and good healthy foods the day before.

I am feeling you on the pooch and I still have a lot of weight to loose. After three kids and a lot of weight gain its terrible. Unless you have lucky genes if its excess skin you cant get rid of this unless a tummy tuck, but you could try one of those ab programs first to see if you can tighten it up at all.

I agree with OP all they are saying is that you wont eat because your sleeping. So if you need that extra help then just sleep longer. I was asking my husband what he thought about this article though, he said its because your muscles need more time to recouperate, so if you are working out then the extra sleep helps with…

Thanks Ladies. So glad to know I am not doing it wrong by measuring and making my own servings based on how I split it. : )

Definately sounds like your not eating enough. You body will hold on to fat if it thinks its being starved. I agree you should be around 1500-2000 calories per day, but make them quality calories dont fill them with junk. Not saying you are but try not to. The prior posts are referring to Heart Rate monitors like Polar…

My husband and I and another couple went to Punta Cana in the Dominican republic for a long weekend. The place we stayed was all inclusive. We booked through hotels.com but I do not recommend using the club caribe shuttle service because they left us and we almost missed our flight. Other than that. The place was…
