I cannot give up carbs. I enjoy them too much, and honestly I feel that if I cut them out, I would crash and burn. I have stopped eating white flour pasta and bread, and I don't eat as much refined sugar unless I'm craving a little. I eat less starchy potatoes. And with this, I've lost a little over 20 pounds so far (two…

Hmmm I would say if you really want it, maybe try doing a little bit of extra exercise to allow the extra calories. Find a recipe with as few ingredients as possible to keep it simple, and enjoy. Here is my favorite mac n cheese recipe--from a local restaurant in my area, really simple and nice and creamy:…

Yes. The way to get all that extra fluid out (it seems counterproductive) is to drink lots and lots of water, then pee it out!

My dad has bad gout in his ankle, when he has a flare up, he takes a tablespoon of 100% cherry juice concentrate a couple of times a day. It has to be concentrate with no added sugar, like you buy in a little bottle and mix with water to make juice. It really does the trick, but I cannot remember why. It's worth a try!

Except most tubers have been cultivated away from their natural states by humans for centuries...the Mayans actually were able to change potatoes from poisonous to edible. Before that, nobody ate them. (potatoes are members of the nightshade family) just goes to show... Nothing we eat is really "paleo" because food is so…

I dont think it would be rude at all! If you already know its hard for you to make good decisions in that situation then break the cycle. Just mention casually you brought your own dinner because you want to control your calories. Good for you for knowing your limits. I too have a hard time with this! I live in a very food…

It's water weight, after exercising a lot your body retains water while it repairs itself. Also, extra calories usually means more sodium means more fluid retention. Just drink lots of water and the weight will come back off naturally and quickly. You would have to eat 3500 calories OVER your tdee to gain one pound of fat…

Wow, that was rude! I think it probably tastes great but I too wish it didn't have velveeta, mostly because of the sodium. You could probably cut it down by using low sodium soup bases and fresh tomatoes and peppers instead of rotel.

If it fits in to your daily calories and macronutrients, why not? I am of the opinion that everything in moderation is a good rule of thumb. Just remember that those sort of items take up lots of calories and leave you wanting more...

If you really truly have lost that much weight in a week, you might want to reconsider your caloric intake. Even if what you lost is fat, your body is probably thinking you don't have access to food, so when you start feeding it a normal amount again, it will immediately store all of those calories as fat, so you'll gain…

If I am craving potatoes, I try to eat new or baby ones, because they are less starchy. But, in general I don't cut out any "whole" food that I enjoy, like rice or homemade bread. I like them too much and I have found that I can still lose weight eating them.

You are so beautiful! Never be ashamed of of who you WERE, everyone has problems, it's just that us fatties have ours physically manifested! I'm so proud of you, and you are an inspiration to me!

My hands don't go numb randomly in the middle of the night anymore. My periods are becoming more regular. It's much easier to sit up without back support. I'm not as tired at the end of the work day. I am not positive, but I think my blood pressure has probably fallen, it was a little elevated. I get less stomach aches and…

This is a weird one, but Town House Garlic and Herb Topper Crackers. They taste like pizza crust, and there are ten grams of carbs per three crackers. We have had them at work lately, and if I eat one, I guarantee I will have at least five more.

The butt bible!

Is it easy? I'm a dental technician, I design and fabricate dental prosthetics.

Wooooow! You are so beautiful. You must feel amazing! Also, I love your dog.

A lot of people who don't ingest meat for a long while have this problem, because your stomach isn't used to breaking it down any more. Our bodies adapt to what we give them. Of course, if could also be the large amount of fat! I know when I eat something really fattening, my stomach rebels almost immediately. Drink a lot…

Maybe try centering your meals around foods that are low on the glycemic index. http://www.glycemicindex.com/ The GI is a good resource to figure out what foods will spike one's blood sugar. A lot of diabetics center their diets around this tool.

Just a quick look at your diary--you eat a ton of sodium. Try limiting to 1800 mg a day for a few weeks and see if that helps. You body needs less than 100 mg of sodium a day to survive, the rest absorbs water in to your blood (bloating) or gets excreted out. Also, the more water you drink, the faster the bloat goes away.…

Yeah, it has to be a total lifestyle overhaul. I can really see where your daughters are coming from, I was also a fat teenager, and having any adult or someone in authority try to talk to me about losing weight just embarrassed and angered me. I think to really truly do this, you will have to start indirectly affecting…

Wow it does look tasty. Shepard's pie has always been a favorite, especially because you can add any mixture of vegetables and it always comes out great. Could you post the amounts here of MFP? I am definitely making this this week.

Make sure to drink TONS of water everyday, track and reduce your sodium intake by eating less processed food and staying away from the salt shaker (I try stay below 1800 mg a day), and keep on working out. The bloating will take care of itself if you do these three things consistently. Some people are just really salt…

You are soooo close! DO IT!

I put hummus on eeeeeverythiiiiing.

You could always try a sturdy cabbage or lettuce leaf. They are actually really tasty , especially with Asian flavors. For ease of travel, maybe look in to spring roll wrappers. They are very thin, add a little flavor and are really easy to use.

Wow, that is a HUUUUGE difference, especially in your face! Way to go!
