145.6 Not a huge loss but a loss nonetheless. I attribute this to a couple of naughty days coupled with zero time in the gym. I'm glad I didn't gain.

Do no running. Recovery week before the race is key. I've run races from 5K to marathons and I know from whence I speak. Take it easy this week. And have fun at the race. The victory is not in crossing the finish line. The victory is in getting to the starting line!

I don't think I'll reach the five pound mark. As of last Monday, I was down three pounds in October. I expect I just MAY be down another one pound by the time I weigh in on the 1st. You have more lean muscle mass than I do and less body fat than I do. Very thin people can actually be clinically obese, believe it or not. So you are in better shape than I am. Good job! :-)

I didn't say I wanted to lose 49 pounds. I said I was carrying 49 pounds of fat. If you look at my ticker, my goal weight is 119 which is about 27 pounds. They aren't telling you to hold your breath. They are telling you to stand up straight, throw your shoulders back, have the clavicle point to the ceiling. You do that, the gut goes in. Does this help?

I would say that a bunch of doctors don't know much either. Your trainer has you on a decent enough regimen. Complex carbohydrates, low fat, protein from the shake although I'm not crazy about seeing liquid protein. Sounds like you'll get plenty of fiber if you mix up the vegetables enough. They eat up way too many of my calories (9 calories in a gram of fat vs. 4 calories in a gram of protein and carbs).
