haha I almost cut my hand off one time trying to cut a raw spaghetti squash down the middle - gahhh never again! I've learned now, haha, poke a few holes and microwave it first, then I cut an end off so that it can stand up straight and then it's easier to slice in half! Easy peasy and hand friendly!

Please do not eat less than 1200 cals, or less than your RMR, a day! Do you know your RMR? I am shorter than you and eat more than 1200 in a day; You need energy for your exercise, daily activity and to fuel your body, and doing such a heavy cut could just make you tired, hangry, and is no fun to maintain in the long term!…

:drinker: :drinker: hoooooray, what a fun trip that will be! I live in Vegas and love it, it's got some GREAT food, both cheap and expensive, and many places are open 24/7, which makes for a great foodie town! Like another person recommended, I use the Yelp site and app a lot; it's easy to see hours, location, and get…

Happy Birthday to your son!! I agree with above poster; it's just a matter of finding the balance, but I like to enjoy and celebrate life and food too! Living in Vegas, the capital of buffets, I've learned a few tricks in balancing buffet life with my normal diet: Many Chinese buffets have a grill or wok area where they…

so so yum when I need a quick hit of PB taste without the cals, easy to use and versatile! I've used it in regular PB&J sandwiches, oatmeal, and protein shakes - next idea is a peanut sauce for Thai noodles! The chocolate version is yum too  and a little bit goes a long way with this product! you can also order it…

Hey! I used to be on 1200 cals, check out my food diary around June 2012 for my meals, but I quickly had to up the cals tho because my progress stalled.. so just FYI! First meal idea that comes to mind: I make these huge egg white omelets sometimes for breakfast that, depending on veggies/cheese/avocado/meats, will run…

I started heavy lifting with "new rules of lifting for women" - it's not specifically for women, any lifting program is great for women, but it's a great easy for beginners and lots of information about why and how to do the program. it's also a bit dated, so there's some exercises that the author now recommends to sub out…

yes, i def take all the rest seconds in between sets, sometimes a little more if i am waiting for a machine or am feeling a little tired. there was a line in the book saying that it was better to have like a full warm up and full rests rather than cutting them to try and get more of the workout in - better to cut the…
