Thanks I am on a 1,790 calories per day (175cm for 77.5kg) and to be honest I am struggling to eat so little, I usually burn an average of 500/600 a day with exercise if not more some days. Are you saying that I should lower that number, because I don't think I would be able to JC

That's impressive! OP well done to do the full minute, now try to add 5 seconds everytime JC

The more you do it, the better you will get. Try to increase your running time everytime you go running. My old gym used to have a running class, the teacher was great, we did "normal" running, but we also did drills, ie sprints, hill running etc. Plus the fact that you run with other people, you will push yourself that…

Update: I replaced the battery this morning but still the same, going back to Amazon and getting a replacement. Really annoyed but hey **** happens JC

I am trying right now the "remove battery" thingy. I only used the HRM 3 times, already dirty? I will wash it tomorrow and see if it makes a difference. I have spoken to Polar Customer Services, and the guy asked me to change the battery, if this does not work, he said to get a refund or a replacement from Amazon. I…

I am having the same problem with my FT7, just over a week old, worked 3 times perfectly and this morning it just would not find my heart beat. I have just finished talking with Polar UK customer services, and the guy advise me to replace the battery, and this does not fix the problem to get a refund or a new one. I did…

Thanks guys, like I have said the strap is pretty tight, any tighter and I will cut my air supply  I will contact Polar and see what they say, it is just over a week old, that's pretty rubbish if it goes wrong already JC
-
Mine is pretty tight, until now picked up my heart reading very quickly. I think it could be the battery, which is a disappointment as the HRM is 1 week old JC
-
Well done! I don't think that I could run a half marathon. JC

I only saw the before and after pictures and she looked amazing. I would think that she did more than her dvd to achieve that. Hopefully someone will input some valid points. Good luck with the programme JC
-
Aiming for 15%, would love 10-12% but without being a defeatist, I don't think I would be able to achieve that. Great post JC

Do them both, one day walk the 6 miles, and the next do the HIIT session, this will get you fitter. Try to drop your time on the walk by maybe a minute at each session. JC

It gives me even more calories burned, I like it! I tend to eat a bit more on exercise day, so it is good to have an idea of what i have lost during exercise. Good website by the way, thanks JC
-
Thanks for that, just thought that it was on the high side, I am 175cm, 77.5kg. Yes today was hard, the last 2 exercises, I had to stop of couple of times! JC
-
COmes with it, just the FT7 and so much easier to track your calories burning JC
-
Thanks guys, keep them coming. From those posts, it seems that I am doing the right thing. JC

Oh man, you made my day, I couldn't stop laughing JC

Been training seriously for the past 4 weeks now, convalescing from an operation in November, I had to stop all fitness (mainly cycling and gym). But now I am back to about 90% fitness wise. The scale is not changing much, lost between 0.5/1.0k. Ideally I would like to loose another 3kg but find it really hard to [I am…

Started last week, but not doing everyday as I go to the gym too. I took some pictures for "before", will take some for "after", I couldn't do it everyday and add also the gym + running, hence doing Insanity sessions when I am not doing anything else. I am not sure that it is the right way but after 3 sessions I already…

Thanks a million, that's much better. Did not think checking the data, I assumed that everything on the database is correct JC

Thanks for the info, I will look at the labels next time I go shopping. I just thought that fish was ok and never really looked at the sodium bit JC

Another thing to bear in mind is: if it is a mass start, be prepared for it to be rough. You have got the choice to start at the back and overtake slower swimmer, but if you are a very fast swimmer, start at the front, avoid the middle section, you are guarantee to get slapped, kicked etc JC

http://www.swimplan.com Try this JC
-
You don't mention if this an open-water or swimming pool swim. Usually for open-water depending on the temperature of the water, wetsuit may be compulsory (like Athena has said). I don't think you are allowed to wear one in a swimming-pool in a triathlon swimming leg. If it is in a swimming pool, you will be sharing your…

Do you have a SportDirect.com near you, they have quite a large range of everything and generally reasonable price JC

Mountain biking, always a laugh and burn tonnes of calories JC
-
Got that one but it does not do calories count for indoor activity (classes, weight lifting etc.), I just ordered a Polar FT7 now, thus the 305 is brilliant for outside activities, I use mine all the time for cycling and running, and I can link it with Endomondo which is great, instead of using my smartphone. JC
-
Like they say you get what you pay for  Everyone seems to back the Polar brand, probably more expensive but worth the extra I guess. JC

Started 3 days ago, did the Fit test, and today the DVD no. 1. For people that says that it's easy, 2 things comes to my mind, or they are not doing it to the full or they are mega fit. When I finish today I was dead JC
