Awesome! I know you feel great hitting a major goal like that.

^^^ This if it has to be within a 2-3 week time period (but you'd have to deal with swelling, so no guarantees there). Other than that hard work will reduce your body fat percentage overall, which will improve the areas you're unhappy about. There isn't a magic face, neck and belly fat removal pill (not that's legit…

New to me. Curious to see answers.

^^^ This. Don't freak out just walk briskly and write 100 sentences that say "I will not drink empty calories" for your punishment and carry on! :-)

My wife went for her yearly checkup today and when she showed the photo of her family she keeps on her cell phone to her doctor, he thought she had divorced and re-married. I haven't seen him in a couple of years and have lost around 150 lbs since the last time I saw him.

My normal routine is in bed no later than 10 pm. Wake at 4:00 am to be at the gym between 4:30 ~ 4:45 am 5 days a week. I lift weights M-W-F & do cardio T-T. My motivation is to be in the best shape I can be for myself, my wife & my 3 sons. I just started to add some friends on MFP and they help motivate me also. Just set…

Feel free to add me, along with anyone else on this post if you like. I started off at approximately 450 lbs and am down to about 250 lbs now. It's not an easy journey, but you can do it!

FR sent. My food diary is boring, but I've been on here a while and lost a lot of weight along the way. Anyone else can feel free to add me. I support and like to be supported. I've just started adding friends, so as long as we interact I won't delete you.
-
One friendly suggestion: you already have over 200 friends. Not judging, you just may want to "weed out" the non-supportive ones. I welcome any positive friends who want support and do likewise. Life is a journey. Don't be so focused on the destination that you forget to enjoy the ride!

Post it notes, e-mail reminders & of course......more cowbell!

There are a lot of replies to this topic, so forgive me if someone has already said this, but for motivation if you add friends on myfitnesspal and interact with them regularly. If you have active friends it can help motivate you greatly.

I'd sign up for a year to start out to make sure that it will fit your needs. Also, don't limit yourself to just the machines. Weights do wonders!
-
Don't be intimidated. Everyone else is there for the same reasons as you. People aren't going to stop and stare or make fun of you and if you need help I'd even go as far to say that most people are happy to help if you don't interrupt them during a set. Just take a deep breath and say "I CAN DO THIS!!!!"

Wonderful testimonial! I love to hear when someone doesn't make excuses or blame someone or some thing, but instead takes charge, puts on their big girl / big boy britches and gets to work. Yes it takes hard work and discipline, but as you've shown it is soooo worth it. Great job!

^^ This was me also, except I was just getting ready to go to a consult and had been watching my diet and recording progress since that was part of the requirement for approval to have the surgery done. I noticed that I was losing weight at a fairly decent pace, so I decided to put the consultation off to see if I hit a…

I'm not from the Carribean, but the way winter is going for us this year in Alabama in the US, I could probably be persuaded pretty easily to pack up my family and move! :-)

I've been on MyFitnessPal for going on a couple of years now and never really added friends and would like some extra motivation to help keep things going. I started off between 425 ~ 450 lbs and am at approx 260 lbs now. FR sent. Anyone else can send me a FR also.

I prefer to stick to as little processing of my foods as possible. The closer to natural, the better.
-
Yes....wait, no......maybe. What was the question again?
-
^^ Basically this.

Great job!!! More proof that there's more to it than just the numbers on the scale. There's a lot of visible change.

Like others mentioned, I don't mind kind comments about looking good or how different I look. There are a couple of people lately who have been telling me it's time for me to stop losing weight, or they say "You aren't trying to lose any more weight are you?" That kind of busy body comment is what I don't care for, so I…

Don't forget that Subway sells pizza and cookies at a lot of locations. It's not too hard to break the 4,000 cal mark once you add the large soda (+ refills) and chips. Like everyone else said, no matter what the restaurant, you have to choose to eat healthy.
-
I know it's childish............but wouldn't you always need to wait till your in the bathroom to "LOG". Sorry, carry on then.

Ladies and gentlemen, Mr. Burt Bacharach!

I like the sandwiches, but I tried the salad twice and it was not good either time. Bland and blah - kind of hard to describe really.
-
Fantastic job!!! Stay focused and keep at it.

I'll be participating in my 2nd 5k this weekend (did one at this time last year) so I want to improve my time as much as possible. I'll actually be walking and jogging this time since I'm 80 lbs lighter than last year. If things go well, I'll do another 5K next month. A true goal is to be able to do pull ups / chin ups.…

That's funny, I use "one shot one kill" as my hunting motto. That's what my dad has started calling me now. I pulled the trigger 6 times in the last two seasons and loaded 6 deer in the truck. All dropped cold in their tracks. Make a good shot and there isn't any tracking to be done.

I hunt and fish. Almost all species are game. Whitetail deer hunting is my favorite. I killed my first nice buck this past season. He had a nice high rise 11 pt. rack (a 5 x 6 for my northern friends). Here in Alabama we're in Turkey season right now.
