Wow, great job! I know how hard it is to stay with it and you're doing great. Keep up the , not good, but GREAT work!!

Most men I know (yes, I do know there are exceptions) like thick legs, or as I like to call them cheerleader legs. If a girl is very thin and petite, her legs will be proportionate to her body. If you're not that body type, it just looks like chicken legs, or sticks, which to me isn't a good look IMHO.

Wow, you're doing great! Keep up the good work.:drinker:

<<< Just posted my progress pic today.

Sounds great! I've only been to Wisconsin once, but other than the snow (I went in the winter) I loved the cheese and dairy products. Mmmmm Jalapeno cheese curds!! Good thing I don't have access to those things on a regular basis.

Wow, fantastic!!!

When I graduated HS I was well over 300 lbs. Highest weight ~ 450 lbs Now I'm around 260 lbs. Lighter, stronger and much healthier than I was at the age of 17! :-)

If I'm asked to go out to lunch, I'l tell them that I brought my lunch. If they insist, I decline and tell them that I'm going to try to eat and get a walk in during my lunch. Most the guys in my office are on board with it though, Sorry for the negativity. :-(

What??? Three???? Don't those normally come in pairs?

Serious me answer: 3500 calories = 1 lb. Watch you're diet and excercise and you can work off the Oreos. I wouldn't recommend making a habit out of eating an entire package of any snack unless it's a single serve size. Sarcastic me answer: Congratulations, here's your award!! Sorry, sometimes sarcastic me just has to be…

Wow, great job!

^^ This. I started walking at around 425 lbs and then started incorporating lifting weights and just within the last year I've started jogging some. Running to soon can cause joint damage.

Anyone can feel free to add me also. I like to interact and give / receive support. I don't scrutinize food diaries, but I do applaud activity and like to celebrate achievements when goals are met.

Hey Beth, I'm Dave. As far as your motivation goes, you have to want to do it for you, because you want to. You won't do it for anyone else and succeed and make it stick. It's not a diet, it's permanent changes that you choose to make every day. I've been on here a while and I'm still fairly new to adding friends. Anyone…

Trogalicious gave a lot of good sound advice. Just know that myfitnesspal gives general information and you'll have to tweak you're individual plan to fit your needs. Try to educate yourself as much as possible on nutrition and excercise and make changes gradually. Don't try to go too crazy all at once so you don't get…

I welcome any new friends who are here for positive support and motivation. Add me if you like the same.

It's interesting to be the fly on the wall in these forums. My observation up to this point (not that anyone cares, but it is a forum). Judging the reactions that Ive seen, never say anything to a woman about: a) what she's eating, b) her weight. Also IMHO, sugar can be as addictive to some people as caffeine or nicoteine.

You can totally pull that off. Especially is you excercise regularly and watch your diet closely. To be honest, I was going to creep your post to see the train wreck, but from the pictures it doesn't look like you should have any problems making it happen. Stay focused and make it happen! :-)

Doing great. You can definately see the progress. Eating better is definately harder than working out for me. I enjoy the workouts and sometimes struggle with eating clean, controlling portions or sometimes just avoiding junk.

I started using a CPAP machine for my OSA when I was at 450 lbs. I very recently had another sleep study done and they were able to decrease the air pressure setting, but weight loss doesn't "cure" the obstructive issue, just helps improve it. Once you get used to wearing the mask, you'll rest so much better. I'm convinced…

Basically I started "watching what I was eating" which entailed decreasing sweets, sodas and "white carbs" (white bread, white rice, potatos and pasta). I eventually gave up all sodas because whether they are diet or regular, I don't see any benefit in them at all. I also gave up all caffienated beverages. I began walking.…

What about 200 poundish losers?

Wow, that's great progress! When you hit the weights you'll really be amazed at how quickly you see definition starting to show. Not in one day mind you, but it doesn't take long to notice changes. Congrats again!
