• Excellent! I was right there with ya this morning! I thought it was better than W2D3- and I actually felt better after this run than the last one! Keep up the great work!!
• Great Job!!
• I'm not- I didn't want to "box my self in" and be set up for failure! I would rather take my time with the program- see that I could finish it and actually run 3 miles!! Then I will see about a race. My girls are interested in doing "Girls on the Run" program some of my friends are starting this fall. They run a 5k at the…
• Depends on what you were doing- how active you were- before the program. I know I wasn't very active. I did one of my days Friday morning, walked the dog- quickly- a little over 2 miles Saturday night, then tried to do the next day of the program Sunday morning- not a happy result!! The program is designed to work in a…
• I hope to say this one day.....love the verse...one of my favs!
• I did W2D3 today as well- i struggled more than W2D2....I wondered about moving on to W3 as well. I think what I am going to do is just try it. If I struggle with W3D1, I will just keep repeating it till I get there.....I figure I'd rather forge ahead than stay behind.
• Good Job!! Concert sounds like it was a blast!!!
• The first few days are the hardest. I woke up and could barely move the next day after W1D1- it gets better. I just completed W2D3 today. My legs are still sore, but not like they were. using a track or a treadmill is also easier than just "outside". I started using our indoor track at our rec center- makes it a lot easier…
• UGH- Week 3 starts Wednesday for me and I am not looking forward to it. W2D3 was hard today....
• way to go!!
• I have had fibro for 11 years now. I get flare ups every now and then, but for the most part it has been under control. I find if I do lots of housework, or lots of strenuous activity, I am bad the next day. I was on Lyrica for years, and it really helped, but started giving me upper thigh pain....weird side effect. Then I…
• I have a separate HRM- Polar FT4- love it!!
•
I might have to try the NIke+ GPS. I have Mapmyrun, but not sure it will run simultaneously. I love technology.
It was only a couple bucks- not too bad and to me, totally worth it!!
• Very easy!! That's the one I have- and it is very easy to use and work with. I love mine!!
• Do you have the right shoes? I have been told if you don't have good running shoes, that can cause lots of pain. I have been fitted and know what I am going to get, I just need to save up for them. Also, maybe try running on a treadmill or indoor track that is softer. The outside ground is harder to run on than the softer…
• I just did W2D2 today- I have seen a lot of posts about how to log this- what I did was purchase a hear rate monitor. I have a naturally high heart rate, so trying to get calories burned from just off the internet by looking at MPH etc. doesn't work for me. I LOVE IT!! It gives me an accurate reading and records my time,…
• I have it too- I love it! I am able to play my playlist while its on. I also have the Nike+GPS ap that can run at the same time. The Nike ap maps my route (if outside) and then tells me how many minutes per mile and keeps a history so I can see how I improve!
• Lost 2.5 lbs!! YAY!
• That's great!! I feel the same way! Keep up the great work!
• WAY TO GO!!
• Hi there! I am going on to W2D2 tomorrow- my first time through the program. Absolutely love it! I feel better if I do this in the morning as well. Usually get blah after eating all day! I have never run before in my life- I have fibromyalgia and have found that while I am slow, this doesn't seem to bother it or cause me…
• I would just listen to your body- I tried walking one evening then did W1D2 the next morning- VERY painful to me....maybe not to others- I think once my body gets over the shock of exercising regularly and I build up more stamina I will try adding things in the off days- weight training or stretching with some walking…
• single mom budget here too! I went to get fitted last night- I have been searching the internet to see if I can find them cheaper...if not, then I am saving till I can get them. Where I went, they will fit you and store it in the computer- it will be there when you are ready!
• I have noticed that just in the W1 that I completed- don't feel as winded with normal everyday stuff! I hope your leg heals quickly!!
• YAY you!! Way to go! So glad you were able to get it in!!
• Awesome! I am W2D1- I never ran before either. I got a heart rate moniter to accurately check my calories- (i have a naturally high resting heart rate)- BEST THING I EVER BOUGHT! I have a membership to our rec center so I sometimes go use their indoor track! (keeps me from excuses as well) Keep up the good work! I know I…
• Thanks!!
• Isn't the eliptical easy on the knees? Or, if you have a pool nearby, swimming is GREAT rehab.
