  • New to Ketogenic - but was doing trim healthy mama, where you separate your fuel sources - fats and carbs - and make only one of them the star of any meal. So Stevia is the main sweetener I used, and didn't have to count the carbs for it on that plan. Do i count them on the Ketogenic plan? Thank you
  • I have been doing THM. Also, I have been on MFP for long time - about 7 years. This week, I am kicking THM into highgear and using MFP to track meals so I know where I sit with Carbs/Fats. I subscribed to MFP paid option, but I think I was able to see what I needed to see on the free option too. But not complaining about…
  • I was trying to ween myself off facebook, but cannot because it appears its the only place to find THM'ers. And they are a positive, well-mannered, uplifting group - guess I have to keep facebook :-(
  • I am a minnesotan. For me, and many others I know, a casserole is baked in the oven in a pottery or casserole dish. A hotdish is made on the stovetop. Casseroles do not always have condensed soup, or crunchy toppings. They can be any combination of meat, potatoes, veg, pasta and a sauce or soup and can be layered or mixed…
  • I eat it because it is made of sprouted grains - which your body handles like a vegetable rather than a starch. In fact, I have several recipes to make my own sprouted breads, and they have turned out very well! When i buy Ezekial, I keep it frozen to make it last longer. I actually prefer my homemade over store bought but…
  • The crazy thing is that the same vegetable prepared a different way will not even taste close to the same. A raw radish has a bite and can be hot, while a roasted radish is mild and tastes potato-like, while a roasted/broiled balsamic glazed radish tastes different yet. Mashed cauliflower can be masked as mashed potatoes…
  • Smoothie: Kale, frozen berries, almond milk, and THM protein powder Oikos triple zero with fresh berries Iced oolong with fresh ginger, cinnamon, vanilla and almond milk (all day sipper) Sugar Snap peas or other raw veg (because I need a crunch, and potato chips are off limits) Hummus with Doctor Kracker seeded spelt…
  • Thank you...
  • Regarding lack of information - there is also false information. We can't even believe some of the food labels. I forget the exact numbers, but manufacturers have leeway in being off a certain percentage for numbers and weight of product. Other times, we are tricked by certain words such as low fat or "no trans fats" when…
