That is a great answer; thanks for the info! Lucky for me, I rarely drink, but when I do I fit it into my calories like everything else. Whatever you do, stay away from Mike's Hard drinks; those things are filled with calories! I'm talking over 200 per bottle. Ouch!

Just started Level 1, Day 1 today. Don't even need to buy it because it's on You Tube! How many of you do other exercising and how many just do 30DS?

I disagree. There are "good" and "bad" carbs, all depending how they break down in your body. I'm quoting this from http://www.usgyms.net/goodfoods.htm: Healthy carbohydrates are found in whole grains, beans, fruits and vegetables. Because they contain fiber, good carbs break down slowly in your body, thus avoiding…

I made these mini cheesecake tarts that are 80 calories each. They're TINY but it gives the satisfaction of a little bit of cheesecake!! I can't remember if I used regular or light cream cheese but light would definitely help. No way am I giving up cheesecake forever! :-)

My two main men Ben and Jerry, who got me into this mess in the first place! I miss B&J's Red Velvet Cake ice cream the most, with it's delicious swirls of "cream cheese". *drools* (Hardest to give up in the sense that I wish I could have it and I can't. Not enough portion size for the calories.)

Thanks for the topic and thanks for sharing, everyone! I remember the days when I didn't have a muffin top and I cannot wait to get rid of it.

Way to go, Sue!

Great job!! So glad you're realizing how good you look. Keep it up!

What spare tire? That teensy little "pooch" thing below your abdomen? I scoff at that because you look AMAZING. I also eat mostly what I want and even though I'm in the 1200 club I always try to make room for my nightly ice cream sandwich. Exercising definitely helps us to eat more of the fun foods!

Do you have to like Greek yogurt to like these pancakes?

You look great! Awesome job. I'm about halfway to my goal weight and stories like yours really help keep me going. Thanks for the motivation and inspiration! :flowerforyou:

If it was a reasonable one-time fee, yes, I would pay, but I don't like when apps have recurring fees so if it was a recurring fee, probably not.

Congrats! I want that red velvet cream cheese cake. Ben and Jerry's makes a Red Velvet Cake ice cream with swirls of cream cheese and it is to die for. (But unfortunately Ben and Jerry's contributed vastly to my weight gain so it's a no-no for me. I only do low calorie frozen treats now but I enjoy every bite.)

Great job!! Glad you decided to make a change; your self-esteem must be so high now!

Congrats; you kicked that fat's *kitten*!! I also had a lot of "damn I look fatter in these photos than I feel" moments before I finally did something about it. I tried keeping a manual food diary but it was too much work and when I discovered MFP that also got me started and I'm over halfway to my goal! Thanks for…

If you're not eating "kiddie" cereals full of chocolate, added sugar and marshmallows and eating a giant serving of it, I don't see the harm in it. I've been taking cereal with almond milk (Silk, Blue Diamond, etc.) and strawberries to work for lunch for a couple months now and I'm still losing weight. I tend to only buy…

Normally I just ignore people like you, but I couldn't resist when I read on your profile that you "don't tolerate closed minded people" (among a lot of other things). Your statements about this thread aren't very open-minded, ma'am, so how can you tolerate yourself? You are certainly welcome to your opinion but there is…

I used to be a US size 3/5 and ballooned up to a 12 and was pushing 14 but refused to buy 14's (no offense to anyone for which a 12 is your small size, I'm short and petite so that was huge on me) and that was when I decided to make a change and start losing weight. I kept all of my small clothes and I'm wearing a pair of…

Did you know that taking Pepto-Bismol can cause your dookie to be dark green? Yes, pink = green, apparently. (Ask the Googles if you must know why. Hint: bile.)

Congrats! I've done something similar recently with an old shirt and coworkers telling me I look skinnier!!
-
Congrats; you look great! Your story on Huffington Post was an inspiration, as are your photos!

I have been eating a little too much and not exercising for the past week so I know how you feel, but I'm getting back on my plan starting today and you should, too! Better to get back on track sooner rather than later. No regrets!!

This! Recently when I wasn't noticing my weight loss as much in the mirror, I decided to try on a shirt I had grown out of several years ago and it actually fit (I'm wearing it now)! Also, try wearing a belt and you'll notice how you can put it in the next smaller hole over time...that also helps. Even if you don't think…

A year. I look the same but my hair is longer.

No cheating here, I'm having store brand "Chex" cereal w/ almond milk and strawberries; knocking out a few food groups along the way! Here are the details: Strawberries - Raw, 0.5 cup, 24 cals Blue Diamond - Vanilla Almond Milk (Sweetened), 1 cup, 80 cals Great Value - Toasted Rice Cereal, 1 cup, 100 cals Total: 204…

Short answer: No, you're not being selfish. Long answer: He doesn't need to throw a hissy fit about it; spouses should be supportive. You're not being selfish but if it were me I would just compromise and find something on the menu that I could eat (before he argued; I'm not sure what my attitude would be after he…

I was never a morning person either because I used to stay up late. Now I go to bed earlier because I'd rather have more time to myself in the mornings before work. The second thing you need to do is follow your sleep cycles. Humans sleep in sleep cycles of 90 minutes. If you wake up at the wrong part of the sleep cycle…
