I hope this works...I'm not a newbie to the interwebs but I couldn't figure out how to upload directly via Android MFP app so I used Photobucket. Help? :( EDIT: It worked but everyone else's pics have this link: mfp-en.vanillaforums.com. MFP help says something about uploading pics directly via a toolbar. I don't see…

My guess is that a password is so you can set your diary to private but if you want to let someone in particular see it, you give it and them a password so only they can see it. People have many reasons for keeping a diary private. There are medicines with calories in them, for example, and for those who log those meds,…

I'm 5'1", petite and 100 lbs is *my* goal weight (that's what I weighed for years before I gained a buncha fat in my 30s so I know it's not too thin for my short self). You are 8 inches taller than me...you do *not* need to be 100 lbs. Even 120 sounds a bit low for someone of your height. What you think is fat may just be…

Granted, but now they won't stop singing it 24/7 and the neighborhood dogs have joined in, howling along, and your ear drums are bleeding... I wish my husband would stop dozing off...

Hi Joy, you can friend me if you want; I also have a bit of a potty mouth at times and I will like your posts and accomplishments (sometimes) and even motivate you (occasionally)! Just remind me who you are in a message if/when you send the friend request. Trying to get this last 20 lbs off is tough at age 42. I tried…

I agree. A recent MFP update caused the app to not exit completely for me so I contacted tech support and they answered me promptly. And regarding the unsupportive comments: serenity now!

I'm still anywhere from 10-20 lbs from my goal (out of 40-50 to go at the start of this journey) and I plan to continue doing what I'm doing now when I get to maintenance, which is counting and daily weighing. As a female, it's important for me to know how hormonal and dietary changes affect my weight so I don't get…

Wish I had that problem! I have trouble sticking to my 1200 without going over. To meet your daily goal, eat peanut butter; that stuff is full of calories! Or just eat peanuts. (But it's also got protein, which is supposed to make you feel full.) Everyone always recommends almonds, so that's another good one.…

Herr's makes these delicious Good Natured Selects chips (Original Grains w/ sea salt are my fave); I think you can have like 17 of them for around 120 calories. My local grocery store got me hooked on them and stopped carrying them. Thank goodness for Amazon! While waiting for my shipment to arrive, I tried some new chips…

I'm wondering the same thing. I never logged my gum but just realized the three pieces of sugarless gum I chewed today, which I thought were zero calorie sticks, are about 5 each, so that's 15 calories. When you only get 1200 a day, that adds up. And no, I don't feel like going back through a bunch of old forum posts right…

You look like Robert Downey Jr in your after pic!

I'm also stuck in the "last 20 lbs" zone. I stick to my 1200 calories per day the best I can but I go over sometimes (rarely go under by very much). This same process caused me to lose my initial 25 pounds but of course now that I weigh less, that same strategy is not working. This muffin top is killing me. I'm tired of…

Ha, I also saw a couple minutes of that video yesterday and realized it was way too long and someone was probably peddling some herbal "remedy'. We have so many things living in our bodies that we can't see, who cares. EDIT: And the thumbnail pic for the video was a hydrothermal worm, a microscopic worm that lives near…

True. Even missing 20 calories a day is 140 calories a week or 560 a month. Little amounts can add up. For example, I have been sick recently and didn't realize at first just how many calories were in the cough syrup I was taking. Log everything!

For me personally, they don't fit well into my 1200 cals a day @ 230 calories for 4 of them, they don't seem like they'd be that filling. And I really wanted to try them after hearing about them on my local morning show. :-( But if they fit into your eating plan, by all means go for it if you like them!

That's because your thoughts have backing.

Next time try shredded (pulled) BBQ boneless skinless chicken breast instead of pork...yum, yum!!! I use Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ Sauce and it's so good and low-cal, I've made it three times in the last two months. A quarter cup of it on a roll is only 250 calories for me (if the roll is 140 calories, which I've found is…

I like in a mobile home and I can do it in my living room, which is small, as I'm sure you can imagine. The Level 2 skaters take up the most space but I do the best I can with what I have.

This is more of my own experience than an answer to the original question, just because it's about Jillian. I did about 24 days of 30DS and I liked Level 1, Level 2 was okay (except for the skaters) but Level 3 I didn't like, not because parts were harder but because of the jump training, I just didn't enjoy it at all. I…

It's funny how they put a picture of cheesecake and the word "cheesecake" in a much bigger font than the word "yogurt". It's yogurt! Fooled me at first. Where can we find low-fat, actual cheesecake in the US?? I also use almond milk (vanilla) in my cereal, it's lower in calories, more protein and tastier than cow's milk.…

Oh yeah, I forgot about that, good point! :drinker: When I first started exercising and had sore muscles, the scale showed an increase. When your muscles are sore, your body will retain water to repair your muscles. I don't know if this happens with everyone, but with me, as the soreness began to go away, I noticed I was…

Without seeing your diary it's hard to say but if you eat the recommended number of calories, you will lose weight, with or without exercise. Are you eating back most of your exercise calories? I've done 24 days of 30DS and I think it's helped me tone up more than anything. The weight loss is more from calorie control and…

I bought one because I wanted to be sure the calorie burn I was logging was accurate and it turns out that what I was logging was pretty darn close to the HRM. Shortly thereafter someone on MFP recommended an app called Calories Burned Calculator that has a lot of exercises and workout videos in it that is pretty accurate…

Wow, you look great! You look like a totally different person. Amazing how being overweight will change your face. Kudos!!

IKR? I'm a 5'1" female and I weigh 120, almost as much as this guy who is an entire foot taller than me. Yikers! I eat 1200-1400 a day and I'm still losing! (Slowly, but surely.) OP has no reason to fear weight gain if he eats the calories that MFP recommends.

I'm currently 5'1.5", 120 lbs and wearing anywhere from a size 6-8 pants (US). The size 6 is a somewhat looser pair than the average size 6. I own a couple pairs of 7's that were skintight when I tried them on about 5 lbs ago but I was finally able to wear them comfortably this week without feeling like they were painted…

I personally like the sticker idea. Stickers are cheap; you can get a sheet or more at the dollar store.

Years ago a coworker saw me eating yogurt and told me it was bad for me. Say whaaaaaaaaat????
