I was always against diet soda, too (and I only drank maybe a half a can of soda daily), but because a can of regular Dr. Pepper has 150 calories and Diet Dr. Pepper has zero, I finally made the switch to diet. (After a lifetime of chanting, "Ew, diet soda! I'll never drink that!") I don't like regular diet "colas", but…

I never noticed an option to allow others to use, thanks for the tip!! (I definitely add my own food if I'm not happy with what's there and I've never seen that; maybe that option is only on the website, not the app, which is what I normally use?) And grams, ugh, I don't wanna use grams (but feel free to use them…

No and it amazes me that people can be so insensitive and unsupportive. Perhaps it's envy?

I don't know, but your profile pic is awesome.

Yeah, OP, sometimes people can be jerks. It's an unfortunate fact of life and especially the internet. Just don't let them get to you.

That was great. I love how on page 2 he's drinking Nutella through a straw. LOL

Thanks for sharing! I wish my husband would get on the MFP bandwagon with me. He's starting to see me getting thinner and feeling bad about his own weight so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that maybe he'll have a revelation like you did.

I can definitely see the difference in your stomach and how that shirt fits you; way to go!! Keep the progress pics coming.

Congrats, great job and keep up the good work! EDIT: Wow, I just looked at your profile pics and what a transformation from your before pic! Amazing!!!

Go see my profile, I'm 5'1", SW 151 lbs, CW 120/122, GW 100-ish; there are a few old "fat" pics there. No current pics yet as I still have 20 lbs to go (or maybe less if I gain enough muscle). People are finally starting to tell me I look skinny again but that's only because I hide my muffin top under my clothes. I've…

Maybe not a true "song" so much as more of a "jingle". I hate the "Stronger than the Storm" song from the New Jersey commercials inviting people to come back to NJ beaches after Superstorm Sandy. No, we're not stronger than the damn storm, or it wouldn't have annihilated the state and a branch wouldn't have broken my…

I saw on TV the other day there is a gym that is collecting its members' sweat (wringing it out of their clothes, not collecting it off of the floor, that would be disgusting, sheesh) and filtering it to turn it into drinking water. Would that also be cheating? Drinking other people's converted sweat? It's supposed to be…

Can you just take one little bite?

I exercise in the mornings...don't know if they'll help you? Drink more water?

Hi, I'm 41 and work out either by walking in my neighborhood or the park (and the very rare bike ride) but I've recently given that up for Jillian Michaels' 30 Day Shred because I want results and I prefer working out indoors. I have another 20 lbs to go (or until I lose the rest of this muffin top) and it definitely gets…

I never liked diet soda but now that I'm really trying to lose these last 20 lbs I've started making changes that I never thought I would, such as drinking the occasional diet soda (I still drink regular soda periodically but only about 4 oz a day and not every day). I thought that Diet Dr. Pepper might taste the least…

I had no idea what this product was so I Googled it by the phrase "LIQUID WORKOUT FOR LAZY ABDOMINALS" and when I saw the product name I LAUGHED. Laughing burns calories, right? So at least it did something for me and my health.

A teaspoon???? What kind of light periods are you having? I'm jealous! LOL! For me it looks more like a teaspoon per tampon on a regular period day! But anyway, I wouldn't know about skipping periods and I'm a daily weigher so I'm pretty in tune with my fluctuations (even if I don't always know exactly what causes…

That sounds like a good idea to use when I do my 30DS workout, thanks for the tip. I would guess that when I go for walks for straight cardio that I shouldn't need to deduct anything but since 30DS combines cardio, strength and abs, it's more tricky to deduce the actual calorie burn and deducting 30% may be the way to go.…

Ha ha, ikr!! Just think how much more food I could enjoy with all those calories...mmmm...I have a BBQ to go to tomorrow after hitting a new low weight today...it's gonna be tough to avoid overeating and drinking! I wish I could borrow those extra thousand calories for tomorrow!! :drinker: And no, I do not brush my teeth…

@ judykat & skinnyjeanz: Thanks so much for your kind words. I had a little more time for L2 this morning and it wasn't as bad; the moves weren't as complicated as I thought and I modify where necessary. The double jump rope kills me so I just follow Anita and do the old L1 jump rope (for now). I wish the girls were mic'd…

Thanks, you're right! I like this app but I'm still buying a HRM this weekend; curious to see how close the Calories Burned Calc app is to the HRM.
-
Thanks for the heads up, I guess I better also stop being cheap and go buy the $10 DVD at Walmart this weekend! I was lucky to find L1 and L2 online but I just searched and you're right, the only L3 I see is a 6 minute video which is obviously not the full workout. Good luck to you!

I started Level 1, Day 1 (L1/D1) on June 28 and have taken a few rest days over the past 2 weeks. This morning was supposed to be be Level 2, Day 1 but I ran out of time before work to do it all and only got about 12 minutes in so I at least go to see what it was like. What I learned so far is Jillian makes up some weird,…

You like this thread! (EDIT, I forgot it was what would you "do" not "say")...new answer! Give a high five!

Ditto.

Are you eating back your exercise calories? Because you have to or your metabolism will not be a happy and active camper. Surely you've seen MFP yell at you about starvation mode if you're under 1200 calories when you submit your diary for the day?
