Sigma Chi alum. I'd gladly be on the Fraternity team.

You can do it! A 5K may seem daunting, but it's so rewarding when you get through it knowing that you can do it. I've been doing them a lot this summer, but I still have yet to run an entire race. So far, I'm up to running 1.5 out of 3 miles. One of the best ways I have found to prepare for a 5K is Couch-to-5K. Just google…

I thought this might be helpful too: http://www.bouldercolorado.gov/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=3058&Itemid=411 It's the Boulder website for Open Space and Mountain Parks. They have maps and stuff about all the hiking trails in Boulder. I grew up here too, so I've got some good trails to do also.

You came to the right place if you want to get in shape and eat right. Everyone here is in the same boat! Add me as a friend if you want; I'll tell all my friends to add you too!

My advice would be to drink fluids before the meals, and try to eat the dishes with the most fiber first. That will help you fill up faster so you can say "No Thanks, I'm full"

Do the push ups on your knees, but make sure your still have a straight line from your shoulders down you back, down the back of your legs to your knees. It will help take some pressure off your shoulders and chest but will still give you a good exercise.

Good Job Meredith! Keep it up. 3 lbs is no small accomplishment. Don't forget to set short term goals that will help you get to your long term ones. Keep it up and June will be great! Add me as a friend if you want to :) ~David
