I found the sports beans at a running store where I got fitted for my shoes. I used to use asics and than used Reebok for a while but now I am using Brooks and I love them. Not sure I will ever go back to any other shoe. Getting fitted for shoes and inserts really made a difference for me on my knee pain. Have not had any…

I personally do not like GU, for my longer runs I prefer sports beans or Cliff shots. My advice would be to hydrate make sure you hydrate before your long run. I am also training for my first half in March, I am following Hal Higdon training schedule. What Half marathon are you running?

Maybe I still do not understand this TDEE thing I followed the instructions in this article http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/912920-in-place-of-a-road-map-3-2013?hl=road+map I believe I selected lightly active and that is how I came up with the number I think I need to do it again and write down all of the numbers.

Do you share your Diary so that I can see it? I was not using an HRM I was using runkeeper on my phone to track my miles and it synchs with Myfitness pal and it calculates the calories burned. The good thing is that I am not guessing the calories. I will start wearing my HRM and see how it compares. I have to go and figure…

I need to keep better track of the miles I am logging per week, I know that I am getting hungrier and I upped my calories to help me with that using the TDEE road map. Thank you I think that I should just forget about the pacers for my first Half and just focus on finishing and having fun. I do not want to stress about the time etc for the first one.

I am very curious about all of the tips you are getting here, I looked into Chi running by watching a video I have been trying to use it while running and work on my form. I am new at it I know that my form needs to be worked on I see a lot of people talking about cadence curious to find out more about that

LOL!! yeah if I have to talk to people I do not want to do it. I hate talking while running. I tried running with a friend but she would not stop talking went back to running on my own.

So do you just look for them? or do you know ahead of time who they are? for me I guess I have to figure out what time and pace I want to run my half and find a pacer for that time?
