That's a great goal. Everyone starts somewhere!

Thanks! you're definitely not alone, who wants to be stuck indoors when there's a beautiful world out there? The treadmill serves its purpose though, we just need these things to trick us it's not boring!

Mileage update: just finished a treadmill run. I find treadmill so demotivating, especially when it's a beautiful day like today, but the thought of running through central London during my lunch break makes me come out in hives. Interval training made it easier and justifiable to look at the clock every two minutes. Now…

@skippygirlsmom great going, gotta love that high! When's the next one? :#

Wow! People do need to be told if they're calculating something wrong (for their own benefit), but I don't think they need to be patronised. Some of these comments are a bit mean and, well, just unnecessary.

Always tough, especially if, like me, you're an unintentional eater! Somehow before I realise it, I'm eating something! Spread the word, get everyone involved :)

Reading all your posts and seeing all your great photos is really making me want to run, even though it's not a run day for me. So motivational :)

Wow, it is hot out there today. Shockingly slow today, but I got out there (and enjoyed it).

I had to drag my lazy butt out the door today, but well worth it. And the sun even made an appearance

So true! We all have those horrible runs that are just miserable from start to finish, but luckily that'a not the norm. You went out there and did what you could do - don't beat yourself up!

Hi all, I'm going to aim for 60 miles from now til the 30th April. Combo of treadmill and road-running. :)

I use my dreaded weekday gym sessions to do some interval training and a fat burner programme. I genuinely find 10 miles outside easier to run than 3 indoors. I need stimulation otherwise I just give up!
-
Wow! Some of those are super scary! Mine are being laughed at by teenagers (usually scoffing chips etc.) or slipping over in the mud - not mu have real danger!
-
Yep, that was the first real symptom that made me take notice. Thanks all for taking the time to reply, and for all your advice and suggestions. I have been doing some stretches for the last couple of days, but i will definitely look at the ball, inserts and tape. Not being able to run again is a really scary prospect so…

Thanks for the advice, I was planning on going to see someone if I hadn't felt any improvement by the end of the weekend.

Woo hoo! That's fab! It's little boosts like that remind you that all the hard work is worth it!

Thanks all for your suggestions and help :) I think I've ridden it out (for now). Stressful Friday afternoon in the office and resorting to food to try and cheer myself up. I've plumped for a cup of tea and feeling better now.

1200 is hard to stick with for a long time. I stuck with that for years on and off but finally relented and went for 1400 as it just wasn't maintainable and I was getting really despondent. IMO they choose that number for quick results to make you stick with their diet, not because it's good for you.

Hi Eve, well done on the weight loss - that's a great achievement! I'm massively lacking in motivation, despite hating how I look and could do with some online buddies too!
-
Thanks, the photos will be going up on my fridge and all my cupboard doors!
-
I could definitely do with this too! Count me in!

I am in the same boat too. I can find any reason (excuse) to binge: social, fed up, happy, bored, stressed. In the past I've managed to get a grip again and shed the weight, but this time, I've been gaining over the last two years and shown no signs of getting it under control. I can go a few days, then something 'comes…

You don't know how many of the others there did exactly the same thing or felt the same way on their first go! Kudos to you for getting out there and doing it! Keep at it and you'll see improvement. I know group activities can be intimidating, but in all honesty, I don't think any of the people there would be judging you -…

Hello! I'm 5'10, cw 162lbs, gw 134lbs -long way to go before I'm back and fighting fit.

I can really relate, I'm a yoyo dieter and a binge eater - there's nothing worse than that all consuming need to eat. I've also done 1200 calories for years on and off in the past and have come to realise this is too little for me and leads to binges. Chin up, you can do this! We all have wobbles - don't crucify yourself…
