I gave it up, along with soda and tea, and most other caffeinated substances. Major withdrawal. Migraines, shakes, sweating, irritability, the list goes on. I started drinking only water. After the withdrawal ended, I felt so much better. (although sometimes when my mom has coffee, I will sit there and sniff it...)

This is so true. I used to feel a connection to all the junk that I ate and I really couldn't stop myself. I started reading Jillian Michaels' book Master Your Metabolism, so much good information in there, it's really helping me. Maybe it would for you too? It's worth a shot.

Sometimes this happens to me too! For me, something as simple as switching my breads to whole grain helped me feel full longer because the bread is heavier. I also drink 2 cups of water so that I can see if what I'm feeling is thirst, masked as hunger. That also played a big role.

Sometimes MFP overestimates how many calories you actually burned, so I would suggest getting a heart rate monitor just to be sure. But walking is great exercise!

ME! I have about 160 to lose to be in a healthy BMI range. I'm in it for the long haul! Whoever else is, feel free to add me as a friend, I love to help motivate others, and chit chat!

Ditto, I'm on the same boat as you at the moment. I refuse to do some fad diet or any other unhealthy method of getting rid of all of my weight.

That's great! My mom just jumped on board with me too! It's great to know that all your hard work is paying off, not just for you but for your entire family, You must be so proud!

Don't deprive yourself! I usually keep those 100 calorie packs on hand for when I get a really intense sweet tooth. If I just want sugar, and not necessarily chocolate, I go for a piece of fruit like an apple with a dash of cinnamon or something. Good sugar, and it fills me up.

Me too! I would love more friends!

Definitely need a rest day if you are feeling super sore. Those muscles need time to repair! I would suggest, if you really want to exercise still, to do an exercise that focuses on another area of your body.

Me!! I'm excited too, I have a lot to lose, about 160 pounds total, but I'm making small goals. Trying to lose 30 pounds by Sept 1~

I haven't done P90x but my best guess is that you are growing muscle. You could be losing fat and replacing it with muscle. You wont be able to see all of the muscle you are gaining until after the fat burns off. Don't give up though it sounds like you are on the right track!

I second this! The motivation can be all about them! How they would get a mom who loves to run and jump and play and keep up with them!

My mom and I have this new recipe book called Light Cooking, and its low cal, low cholesterol, and low carb. We are trying a new dinner recipe every night! And I use sites like Brokeandhealthy.com and eatingwell.com for some different kinds of recipes. So many good resources out there, don't be afraid to use them!

Wow. Thanks everyone for all the support. It is a challenge. I like the motto too, Its awesome. I will definitely be using that. I am going to try to make small goals for myself so that it doesn't seem like I will never get there. Diabetes runs in my family so I am really trying to get healthy so that it is one less health…
