I set an end goal of 165-185. I have been 185, and still had a small amount of fat in the mid section. 165 would be my ultimate athlete goal. We will see. I have lost 90 pounds total, 70 on MFP in 5 and 1/4 months. I still have another 80-100 to go. Things are moving along smoothly. I never set any intermediate goals…

Take measurements. I went through some frustrations myself when I didn't really see the scale move, but I lost 4 inches off my waist.

The right amount of weight is the amount that allows you to maintain proper form when performing a particular exercise. I can't count the amount of times I have been at the gym, and see these people trying to lift too much weight, and not maintain form. There are varying opinions on how many reps to do. Just try to…

Right there with you. I eat when I want to, and I do just fine. Sometimes, I don't eat for 12-18 hours. Other times, I'm eating very 1-2 hours. My metabolism seems to keep working round the clock. To each his/her own.

I lost 6 pounds in my first week, following the standard macro. It slowed down. Plus, it may be that since you are reducing your calorie intake, you keep less of a rolling food cycle in your body at any given time. It will level out. If you keep losing too much too quick, up your calories by 100, and give it a week. Eat…

It's difficult to find the balance between a calorie deficit to lose weight, and the calories your body needs after doing a session. I tend to go crazy on the workouts (1-2 hours), and eat back some of the calories. It's hard, that is for sure. Take measurements. The scale isn't the only measurement of progress. I wish you…

Heck yes. I am one of them, and I kill it when I am in the zone. Once you take that first step into lifting, you forget who is around, and you're just waiting on the next person to get out of your way to do your own thing. Forget what you may thing others are thinking, saying, looking, etc. You are there for you. I too,…

My moobs didn't start to go away till I hit 185. Yes they will go away, but it takes time. Stay diligent. I'm on my third and final drop to normal BMI. I unfortunately still have them, but I know they will disappear with time, and hard work.

Yep. My foot was a 12.5 in the measurement tool, and 70 pounds later, it is 11.5. Since there is less of you to support, they will get smaller.

Wow, you were even higher than me. 357 was my start. Congratz on your current loss. Keep it up. I welcome you to join my circle so we can see each others progress, and support each other along the way.

Because, when I was of normal weight, or very close (185), I looked pretty good. I didn't get there in the best way. This time, it's all nutrition and healthy active lifestyle that is getting me the results. I, like you, want to be the hottest person in a room. When I walk in, I want people to be breaking their neck…

There is an entry under cardio. Just search for strength training in the cardio section, and add the minutes spent. It's there. I use it every day.

You have a great attitude. Simple, and to the point.

I am very active in real life, and in the forums/news feed. I don't half step anything. You are welcome to add me. You want that 40 pounds off? Get it girl!!!
-
I'm not vegan, but I am VERY active. I train for 1.5-2 hours a day doing heavy strength training, and cardio on my road bike. You are welcome to add me.

Friend requests accepted and sent. Wow, it has been an intense couple of weeks doing advanced 6 days a week strength training. Who else is out there that lives a very active lifestyle?

I remember when I reached my goal weight of 185. I was pulling chicks like crazy. I looked better, but I was just skinny fat. I still had quite a bit of "pudge" over my abs. I was close to developing a 6 pack. This time, I'm strength training while on my way down, that way, when I do get skinny, I'll look "Muscular skinny"…

I sit for 8 hours a day at my desk doing tech support for Dell Computers. I know the feeling about going to the snack machine to grab junk food. I did that today twice, and ate 3 candy bars. I almost never do that, but today, it just got me. Outside work, I'm an animal now. I run, cycle, lift weights, spin on stationary…

It's no DuraAce spec'd out bike, but yep, it gets the job done for now.

I meant real life active people.

Requests sent to all that responded. Hah, eating McDonalds, and crying afterwards. Bleh!!! MCd's. I haven't eaten there in months.
-
Yep, my 2005 Specialized Allez Sport. Nothing too fancy. I couldn't afford a dream $6000 road bike, so I settled for a $800 one.

The question you have to ask yourself is "How bad do you want this?" This is something that you must change for the rest of your life if you want to make progress, and stay on the healthy side of life. In my 4 months I have been on here, I have noticed that it isnt as important what you eat, rather HOW MUCH you eat. In my…

This reminds me of astory I once read. This story helped me change my ways before I got down in weight. Hope you enjoy the link. http://www.nerdfitness.com/blog/2011/07/21/meet-staci-your-new-powerlifting-super-hero/

That is a difficult one. I too face those challenges some days. I try to keep my mind occupied. If I am alone at home, and food is on my mind, I go for a walk, or a bike ride. Getting the heart pumping, usually helps me curb my cravings.

Keep up the most excellent work. Don't give in to failure if you plateau. Just keep going, and going, and going (like the energizer bunny) :)

Trolls, get back under your bridges.

I think what he is saying is that it's not always as important what you eat, as to how much you eat. When I joined 3 and a half on the ago, I didn't really change what I ate, just how much. It worked. After educating myself a bit in the ways of nutrition, I don't even eat like I used to. I live a Paleo lifestyle. I went to…

I never knew there was such a thing as a vegetarian who struggled with weight, but I guess anyone with any diet type can binge. Paleo diet myself. Once I got my binging/overheating problem in check, weight is coming off pretty easy with monitored calorie intake, strength training, and cardio. Best of luck to you. :)

You look like a totally different person. Congratz!!
