I guess I am just a good girl - here's what I got - My MFP status which I posted into my Facebook status!: So glad to be getting back in the gym tonight - 4 days off is far too long in my book!

I can't do cardio due to knee problems. Here's my results so far..... from Jan 2012 to Nov 2012. Still got about 11lb to go to my first target of 112lb but might take next year to get another 14lb depending on how I look. I am pretty happy with how I have changed tho!

11 months ago I weighed 136kg. I am 90kg now. Weightlifting mostly, can't do cardio cos of knee problems.

YEP! I can't do cardio due to knee problems. Here's my results so far.....

Sweetie - you will be an inspiration to everyone. I am so sorry for you losing your Mum like that. Congratulations on your newfound strength and determination. You WILL make it. Well done.x

Any money I have saved (by not buying takeaways 3x per week!) has gone on paying for my Personal Trainer. Money well spent!
-
Ican't run, I need a knee replacement!
-
I agree with others here, if you are not lifting then you need to begin. It looks from your pics that you have shaped up nicely and the weights will pull that in lots more. I have lost all my weight in the last 10 months mostly with weights because I can't run, jump etc. due to needing a knee replacement (I am able to use…

Absolutely stunning. Congratulations. Love the whole outfit too!

Nope. I workout 6 days. Weights.

It's normal hun. DOMS usually kicks in for me 2 days after the exertion, I just get right back into the gym and use those muscles again! It will reduce over time, but I actually like it! It shows me I have been doing a good job. I have been lifting for 10 months and I (and my trainer) can still make me get it. It's not a…

I have posted this a few times, people will be getting sick of me popping up but you asked for it so here it is:

A balloon doesn't have wrinkles!! I am 51 and have shrunk quite a lot. I do have wrinkles now but I think my face will catch up eventually. My stomach looks like a 3D road map but I am proud of my shrivelled body - it's my battle ground, and I am winning! I did this in 10 months from Jan this year.
-
Hardly any cardio for me, I need a knee replacement. This took 10 months from Jan this year.
-
You MFP guys keep me going too! Thanks for your kind comments xx

One week isn't enough to show changes. It's probably water retention, you are abusing your muscles and your body sends water to them. Drink MORE water (I know it sounds daft, but it works). Also STEP AWAY FROM THE SCALES - when I first began in January I too was paranoid about weighing. DON'T!! With the level of activity…

Thanks everyone you are all magic MFPers too! Really, if I can do it after all this time, I am certain you can too!
-
Forgot to say - I don't really do Cardio, I need a knee replacement (bone on bone) so this has been achieved with weightlifting and nutrition.
-
Thanks sweetie! You stick at it and you will get your goals I am sure!
-
I looked puffy and pale. Now I am more angular, I have a neck and when I smile my eyes don't disappear.

I was 297...............

Mine are MUCH worse than yours - BUT I am proud of my stretchmarks. They are battle scars. I will never fill them out again. You look fine hun and I am sure they will fade and reduce as time goes on. Mine were stretched for 30 years so I don't expect mine to reduce but I like them strangely BECAUSE I have lost the weight.

I do 5:2, eat cleaner for 5 days and fast for 2. Not both fast days together tho. I take my last evening meal about 8pm and don't eat fully until 8pm the next day. I find it easy, I read that women should eat 500 cals during the fast which is what I do,eating protein mostly plus plenty of water and even black coffee and…

Thanks everyone. You are lovely and I really appreciate your comments. It is very hard to get used to my new body (in my mind) but I am gradually getting used to who I see in the mirror and who I am in my head. I will respect the mirror and continue with the weightlifting! ETA - I am not "fishing" I genuinely wanted to…

Sweetie! You have made the hardest step! Well done. You will find a lovely supportive community here. Build up your MFP friends with those who will understand your situation and you will be amazed at how much it makes a difference. I was about 300lb when I started so not as big as you, but I do have excrutiating knee…

You appear to be similar to me - I could have written that! Come on girl, get into that gym - I go every day, I lift weights every day and do hardly any cardio - look at my weight loss. I WAS you, I am now a new person and love life. If you can afford a personal trainer then do it - mine has given me so much information…

 Without logging the food, I just worked out that I must have drank about a litre of vodka last weekend on my birthday = c2800cals :drinker:

Thank you so much everybody. Really, if I can do it, you can! I was the world's worst culprit for trying a "diet" and not sticking to it. Now I eat "nutrition" for fuel so I can train every day in the gym. I love it and am a new person because of it. Good luck with your own journeys!

Thanks ladies!

You must feel so much better not having to carry all that extra around. You have definitely made a difference and you should be proud of yourself! Keep up the good work and it will fall off before you know it.
