Forgot to say (and I probably don't have to in this group), that I'm not willing to try anything like Shakeology or anything like that. :)

Yes, the underestimating has derailed many a calorie counting plan for many of us! It's so easy (if inaccurate) to just eyeball it! Lol. When I was being diligent, I was weighing and measuring everything. You're right. The narrow window does suck. :( I definitely stayed on each calorie level for more than a month, and…

No, I had it done at the hospital. Ours offers it as a service. It's the kind of RMR test where you breathe into a mask for 30-plus minutes, and they measure the oxygen/carbon dioxide ratio conversions. It was pretty neat, even with a disappointing result.

Yup, I do understand the benefits of not jumping around. I've stayed on the levels for more than a month, and sometimes much longer than a month, except at the very beginning in June, when I started getting confused while reading on here as a newbie. I actually was weight-loss-nerdy and kept an Excel sheet for awhile. Lol.…

I was wrong... it was 1450....

Yay! Looking forward to your thoughts, thanks! :)

Weird, right? The tech actually did the RMR test twice, two weeks apart, because we were worried that the test had been inaccurate somehow because it was so low. We even used a different breathing machine at their second facility, in case the first one had a calibration problem. The first result was 1205, the second was…

I think it depends on which calculator one uses for body fat, but that actual number comes from the Omron handheld calculator at my rec center. I've used it multiple times, and it's always right around 37% I still have my activity level set at "sedentary". I agree with you about the job, kids, etc. part, but since my…

I believe it sticks with the standard 1200, but I'd have to reset to see it. I'll check. :)

Thanks! :)

I've heard about people being "stuck" at a particular weight, and the body fighting mightily to stay there. That certainly seems to be the case here! :)

Yup. I am hypothyroid, and have been for years, but two doctors have thoroughly checked my levels, and they are satisfied. :)
-
Hi, Taunto!!! Loved them! Miss you!
-
Make sure to take D3 supplements, not D2! D3 is where it's at, according to my doctor. :)

I just started working in a library again after a few years away, and I'm already starting to accumulate a BIG mental list of "to read" books. I just found more on this list, so I may not be leaving the bathtub for quite some time once I get all these home with me! :)

I've been doing the same thing. The Cookie Walk is a week away. I think I read somewhere on MFP that cookie _dough_ doesn't have any calories until its baked into actual cookies, because the heat from the oven activates the energy in the calories. So, thankfully, I'm safe, since I've only been eating the dough. :)

They seem to be a little more under control today! I'm crossing my fingers!

Hmmm... I will have to rethink my thigh position. Good food for thought, Jen and you other ladies. Thanks!!

I'm about to try an oatmeal bath. Hopefully that will help!

Thanks for all of the help, everyone! I really appreciate it! Right now, whatever it is seems to be attacking my joints, since it feels like both of my wrists are broken, and are about to snap into pieces! I'm not sure why that's happening.

They keep cropping up in different places. First they started on my neck, back and chest, and now they are on my legs, arms, feet, and hands.
-
I haven't tried that, yet, thanks! Right now, they are more painful than itchy. Maybe they have cycles or something.

We had it tonight with chili over the top of it. It was super tasty!
-
I find it especially tasty when I make it with chicken broth instead of water, and include sautéed onions and add a little bit of butter at the very end! Don't buy the premade stuff in the tubes. It's super easy to make and inexpensive.

About 4200 calories... :) I have one sitting cooling on top of my stove as we speak. Along with a pumpkin, mincemeat, cherry, and apple! Might be worth it! :)
-
Thanks, all!!! :)

I'm going to have to look into this website!

Make sure to fit your favorite ice cream, cupcakes, drinks, etc. in occasionally. As others have correctly predicted, going without makes one feel deprived, and tends to lead to a "treats binge". :) Good luck!
