  • Olives themselves aren't super salty. It's the brine it's preserved in. Brine is pretty much salt water.
  • Whatever happens to be on sale at the time is my favorite! :) Protein powder in Canada is stupid expensive in stores, like $30 - $35 for the 2lb Body Fortress in Walmart.... or $80 for 5lbs of Optimum Nutrition, so I order everything online. I stock up when I see anything hit $40 and under for 5lbs. Luckily I don't care…
  • Nothing! I train fasted at 6am. I have my first meal at 2pm.
  • Holy thread revival batman!! Hahah, I forgot I made this. This was back in July! I guess I can give a bit of an update. I repeated the p90x program for 2 more months afterward and then I started going to the gym 5 days a week. I still do some of the exercises from the program at the gym, but I've mostly created my own…
  • For recording purposes every Friday first thing in the morning. But also daily out of curiosity, once before and once after my first deuce of the day! :P haha
  • It might be better to just update your activity level settings in MFP.
  • I stated that for simplicity sake, yeah it isn't irrelevant. It's just the typical "must eat continuously" throughout the day mentality needs to end. Also I understand nutrient timing quite well, I've been doing I.F/Lean Gains for quite a while.
  • Shameless bump... :) I started in April 2012 and these are 30 day progression pics. I did make a switch from fat loss to building muscle a few months ago so I've lost a bit of my leanness. Ultimate goal is 155lbs @ 8%BF for summer.
  • You don't have to eat right after working out. The one hour replenishing window post workout thing is not true. You don't have to eat an hour before working out for energy. Your body won't eat your muscles if you don't eat right after working out. Your body won't eat your muscles if you exercise fasted. You don't need to…
  • My Home > Goals > Change Goals > Custom Change your macro percentages to whatever you like. MFP's default settings are dumb.

  • There won't be any problem with it's effectiveness, but it may denature/turn in to a clumpy disgusting mess if you put it directly in the hot coffee. It doesn't taste so hot when that happens either. Your best bet would be to mix the protein with a bit of milk or water beforehand to fully dissolve it, then pour that in…
  • Yikes, what's with all these grocery lists of supplements. A good multivitamin, Omega-3, and Whey protein are all you "need" if you're going to start supplementing. None of these are necessary though hence the term supplements. They are the most useful though, if you decide to use any. (I'm assuming you're talking about…
  • I work out fasted every morning around 6:30am, then I still don't eat for several hours afterward. I eat from 1pm - 8pm (roughly following the I.F. Lean Gains program). It works for me, but everybody is different. I figure (in my own unproven logic! :P), if I'm working out on an empty stomach, my body has no other option…
  • MFP doesn't differentiate between the types of sugar. It's the refined stuff and the high fructose death syrup you have to watch out for. There's nothing wrong with the sugars in fruits. I just stopped tracking sugar altogether on here. Just avoid the bad types of sugar and you'll be fine.
  • Well since I have classes and work, I hit the gym Mon-Fri at 6am. It gives me ample time to get in an hour workout, 20 - 30 minutes of cardio, and a shower. Pretty much all of the machinery is open at the university as well because who else but me wants to work out that early! Haha. I find that a good workout first thing…
  • Thanks for the kind words guys! :)
  • I guess it's been around 6 months now. I did 5 months straight of P90X, and now I go to the gym 5 days a week. Before: 5 Minutes ago:
  • I agree, that's the physique I want to reach! Martial Arts abilities, not a chance in hell though.
  • Multi Vitamin (Currently Orange Triad) - 4 a day (They say 6, but I'm only 140 lbs. I figure I need less.) Vitamin D3 - 5000 IU Omega 3 - 1000mg (DHA/EPA per day) so around 4 - 6 depending on type. That's all.
  • I'm pretty much on here every day! Feel free to add me if you like. :)
  • Rockin Joe!! That's awesome. There seems to be no end to the amount of *kitten* you kick!! :D
  • Rock on buddy! I love tuna too. I find it weird when people see a sale and buy like 1 or 2 cans. I walk up and grab a case of 24. Although, I wish I had the variety you have.
  • Awesome! I'm glad you guys are going to give it a try. :) I also feel very honored really, that I could be a motivating factor. I'm sure you will get some amazing results as well!
  • Before I got my HRM I used http://p90xcalories.com/ and then manually added in the exercise to MFP. Once it's added it's always there for you to use. After I got my HRM I compared what it said to what the website was saying I was burning, and they were relatively close based on exertion level. So I think using the site is…
  • Thanks again everyone. Lol, yes I guess I did kill off dough boy! I really did notice a lot of changes once I started supplementing whey protein in to my diet. That, and it also really helped to satiate my sweet tooth. I don't eat any sugar anymore except for the fruits mixed in my protein shakes. I'm sure you're having…
  • Wow, I didn't expect this many replies. I really do appreciate all of the kind words and I'm glad that my experience is a motivation for some of you. My time in Korea was by no means bad, I loved every minute of it. If I ever return there or go somewhere else, I'll just know to keep myself in check. And yeah, I do enjoy…
  • Thanks everyone! I'm glad you enjoyed my little tale. :) I'm actually surprised a lot you you read it. So thanks! I don't know if I'll do body beast, it looks like it would require a lot of extra equipment. I liked the minimal requirements for P90X, so I think I'll do 1 more round of it and then try something else. Not…
  • Thanks! I actually just finished the P90X program and the pics were from the 90 days. This was my rather ridiculous story. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/659004-before-during-after-pics-of-holy-p90x-worked
  • Indeed it is. A harsh reminder to myself of what was, what is, and inevitably what will be.
