How long has it been? try breaking it all down into calories. for each day of the week: How many cals eaten what do you estimate that to be a deficit from your TDEE how many cals burnt in exercise then estimate your weekly burn/deficit from that. (estimate / 3500) pounds. then tell us! :)

When you say " a few nuts" that you don't count... how many is a few? 25g or around 40 almonds is 150 calories for instance...

caffeine and yohimbine caffeine and ephedrine might... might... caffeine certainly boosts your heart rate through cardio. 400mg caffeine boosts mine nicely. I have no clue if a boosted heart rate directly translates into a greater calorie burn, but people like Lyle McDonald suggest it. It certainly doesn't do any harm.…

I get 2/3 of my daily deficit from cardio and 1/3 from eating less.

I've gone from 21% to 13% in 8 weeks. So 1% a week was possible for me, losing about 2.5lbs a week in weight.

Nothing can target an area. Just do a fat loss "diet", some cardio to burn extra cals and improve fitness, and lift some weights to stop your body burning your muscles for energy too.... The fat will usually come off in the reverse order it was put on.

Rubbish. This has worked perfectly well for me. I've lost 8% body fat and 16lbs in 6 weeks.

Spending a couple of years eating above maintenance and building some muscle!

A deficit of TDEE. People who are new to lifting weights (or coming back after a break) can put some muscle on. But at some point you end up just maintaining muscle. Either way it's a Good Thing.
