For a while I was on a kick of doing this with eggs in the microwave....no cottage cheese though. Sounds interesting. Does the cottage cheese melt?

I've done the same thing with boneless chicken breasts!

I made this last week....it was REALLY good. Filling and full of flavor. chelseasmessyapron.com/slow-cooker-sweet-potato-chicken-and-quinoa-soup/

I got married in 1998 as well. Though we split in 2006, my son is 12, so roughly the age your kids are now. It gets easier. It's so hard being in a bad marriage. Though, getting divorced is tough, once you are through the logistics and settle into a new definition of normal, you'll hopefully feel the benefits of living…

Kids of a divorced couple still have two parents. My ex and I split when my son was five. My ex is a great dad even if we weren't compatible as husband and wife.

I'm the benefits manager at my company. Through our health care provider, we are offering 4 "seminars" this year. The first one is later this month...the topic...Eating Healthy in the Workplace. In talking to the presenter, I mentioned all the things you mention above....free food, bringing healthy food to work, prepping…

I'll be 46 in June. Feel free to add me.

I don't generally take from multiple batches, but I do break off bananas. I also don't see a reason not to...

I have had a Fitbit One for just over a year and LOVE it!!!! It's really a great motivator and it's interesting to see what you burn just from your regular moving around. I also have a Wahoo HRM (which syncs to my iphone). I like that, too. I had initially gotten a Polar HRM, but it wasn't accurate (I have a bunch of…

I make a 4 serving batch of steel cut oats on sunday and then bring a portion to work M-Th. I add a drizzle of maple syrup and about 2 tsp of homemade (not by me) strawberry jam. I know it adds some sugar, but I like it sweet. Keeps me full til lunch.

I eat ice cream every night...and I weigh it. :)

I am so sorry. Sending you hugs and strength.

I've been struggling to find my new "zone"....getting myself all confused once things stopped working. In reading this, I remember now that this is the post that set it all straight for me a year ago. Thanks!

YUM. WIll have to try it with yogurt. I also like adding mustard/mustard powder or curry powder

Awesome!!! You both look great!

I don't feel guilty b/c I have a really hard time letting myself take a rest day. So, I feel guilty that I don't let myself rest. Really struggling with this.

The box of pasta usually gives the cal count based on dry pasta. You can use that as a guide when entering it here.

Thanks, good advice. Now, I just gotta do it. I know I have to do it. Sigh

Yeah...I know...i do some of the exercises a couple of times a week. I need to do more. I just need to get into the routine of doing it. It's funny, cardio is no prob for me. But, motivating to do the strength stuff on my own is a challenge. (insert ashamed face)

Thanks Wolfman...yes, I've known that I can either look at total cals that I eat based on TDEE or what I put into MFP and then eat back cals. I just got myself confused. In the end, the way I have MFP set up and then with exercise cals factored in, it comes out to roughly my TDEE, so the math works. Yes, I am generally…

Thanks. All my clothes still fit which is why I'm not overly concerned. I just want to make sure I'm eating enough so I don't slow down my metabolism. I also think that some of the squishiness may be a result of food intolerances/sensitivites, so I'm sort of exploring that. I had an endoscopy in July (after an overnight ER…

Thanks. I do strength training as well. I work out with a personal trainer twice a month (all I can fit into my schedule). She's virtually the same size/age as I am which is good...but she's solid muscle. Also, thanks for confirming that if I use the 1800 that I shouldn't eat back calories. I certainly don't want to lose…

I get to work at about 7:30/8:00am depending on the day and my school carpooling schedule. I eat breakfast at my desk around 8:30. I rotate through 3 things...steelcut oatmeal, greek yogurt, or an eggbeater sandwich (on a bagel thin with a slice of thin cheese)...all in the 200-275 call range. Ditto re the banana.. I keep…

I think it speaks more to your relationship with food. Why do you need to buy it and give it away? Not buying it serves the same purpose. I bake a lot. I keep a small amount at home and bring the rest in to work or give to friends. Buying it and not eating it or tying to show others your will power will only last so long.…
