I like to have it off as well, but the first few days I had it, I performed this test. I actually got the idea from a friend of mine who is a professional fitness coach. He said that you wouldn't want to wear it non stop but that it would be a good idea to see the difference in how my own body Burns calories. I asked him…

Hi there! Well I don't know that you will love this idea, but you should get a good HRM . Hear me out now :) I love my Insanity but I don't love guessing when I've read such huge variances from 250 during Pure Cardio to 700! I really wanted to know what I was burning, not just what was on a chart. I got the Polar and…

I've given this a lot of thought and here's what I've come up with: After I put in a good workout, my body continues to burn calories at a higher rate that it would during normal activity. To test this, I wore my HRM for 24 hours without deviating from my regular workout then did the same a different day with no…

Hi there! For what it's worth, I'm on day 27 and I know what you mean. I've done this program a few times and I have felt that way. I think this time is different because I know what to expect and because I've built different workouts in with it. So what I mean by that is that Monday through Friday I do my Insanity but on…

I forgot about this!! My sister had taught me to use a round dish, an egg, .45 in the microwave and throw it on a mini bagel for a super fast breakfast! Now that's what I'm craving!

I've recently fallen in love with a plain greek yogurt with half an apple chopped up in it and one packet of Stevia. It works for me but has to be refrigerated. For times when there is no fridge near, I like the Nature's Valley sweet and salty bar but it's kind of heavy. Usually I'll have half of one.

That can be discouraging, right!? I'm the same way, I finally bought a scale after years of not wanting to be a slave to it. I log my weight every day but I also don't freak out about the number. Please just remember that your body is working hard regardless of what the scale says, of you are eating right, you will improve…

I do NOT sell Shakeology, I'll say that up front. I'll also say out is nowhere near a protein shake. It is something worth researching if you believe that to be the case. Ok now having said that, I do half a scoop a day and my bag has lasted 3 months. It's your own individual choice but for me it is worth it by leaps and…

Ok well first, just remember that you don't have to be super strict with your calories in a 24hr time period. I know we all forget that. But you CAN have a meal that puts you under your goal and then have a larger breakfast and it will be totally okay. Does that make sense? I had a couple days last week that were under and…

I find the recommended caloric intake when entering exercise to be misleading. My suggested intake is about 1200 calories per day but when I enter my exercise which can be 300-550 calories (Based on my Polar heart rate monitor) it jacks it up, saying I've earned an increase in calories. I just stick to my 1200 and ignore…

That's fabulous!!!! I love the towel one, that's pretty cool! I love that I can almost wear my favorite shirts without the muffin top making it's appearance. For some reason MFP isn't showing it, but I started 6lbs higher than I am now and even though an aquantance wouldn't be able to see much difference at all, knowing…

Hi, I can feel your frustration through your post and I just hate to see that. I see some very good ideas and suggestions on here but the very best things that I see (and agree with) are: Get that heart rate monitor but really research them and decide which one does what you need it to do. For me, if it didn't track…
