They both work, and you'll plateau eventually on no carb or low carb. I personally find it easier to stay on a no carb diet (like a keto diet) once my body adjusts to the changeover. But, that's my personality. I'm an all or nothing kind of guy.

You are as strong as your weakest link in your muscles being used. You have to use lighter weight squatting that deep because you're weakest in the hole (at that depth), which is very common. Build muscle? You will build it anyway, regardless if you squat ATG 20lbs lighter because that's all you can muster at that depth,…

Why don't you just start with something you know is very light, and do sets of 5 adding 10-20lbs until you figure it out? It will take a week or two to get yourself back into gear.

For me it is not stretching or electrolytes. I am dehydrated when this happens. Make sure you drink more water.

I personally feel better staying away from dairy, even though befor ei had no problem with dairy. When I eat ice cream or eat stuff made with cream, I usually end up in the bathroom pretty fast. Don't know if going away from dairy for most of the time made me more intolerant of lactose or what. I vote for the almond or…

You look great now. You don't look overly thin at all. I had the same problem, being at 300+ for many years my mother thought now that i'm at 214 that I am too skinny, when I'm the healthiest and leanest ever. No way.

i eat 2-300g every day, have for years, still have no problems. I think the idea of protein can damage your kidneys, is based on people that HAVE kidney issues to begin with. Just like you wouldn't shovel candy and ice cream if you were a diabetic, or eat shellfish if you were allergic to it... I think for healthy people…

If you are healthy I don't think those things hurt you.

Wow that looks good. I had 10 egg whites, 2 yolks, and kashi sunshine cereal w/ almond milk. I'd rather have the above...

I like about 30% for breakfast, 20% for lunch, 50% for dinner.

Just to cover my butt on what I posted, when I was talking about 'soreness', i was referring more to the kind of aches one gets from the strains on the nervous system (no, not strains because I'm not lifting right, I'm sure you know what I'm talking about if you've done all of this kind of training). I get different, more…

My anxiety levels magnified x 5. I am extremely sensitive to bodily function and sensations (heart beats, etc). I had atrial fib when I was 25 (10 years ago) and it scared the crap out of me, which is the start of the problems I have with anxiety and panic nowadays. Keto really bothered my generalized anxiety levels.…

I define higher volume as 3-5 sets of 10-20 reps. One couls do bodyweight squats for hundreds but im not into that. I also do 8-10 exercises per workout. I recover quick on this style training. I also try to keep rest tomes 1-2 min. 2 min between dead or squat sets, 1 min btw exercises that are accessory, like db flyes,…

Try adding calories back in for a couple of weeks. Take a break. Let your body relax a bit. Losing weight is tough on the system. Then get back at it. EDIT: Nevermind my advice, i didn't read the last half of your original post lol Maybe what the others suggested is better, see a doctor, make sure numbers are ok. But, it…

Yeah, there's a lot more muscles than 7, so ya have to group them. Push/Pull is good. Or, chest triceps shoulders, back biceps, squat day. My breakdown is: upper back day with biceps Squat day Bench day (chest/tri/shoulders) Deadlift Day

Keto is very tough. Be mentally ready. I find about 4 days into a keto cycle I start to get a little loopy. 3 days in I start feeling tired (body is converting energy sources from carbs to fat burning). Just be ready...it may really suck for the first week or 2. You can do it! If you are a fan of eating protein and fat, it…

Agree 100% with hydration part. I've done 3 powerlifting meets, and the first one I did everything just right. After weigh ins I carbed up like crazy and drank tons of water. I was super strong the next day for the meet. The second meet, I carbed up and avoided water, thinking I could load more carbs that way. And, while I…

I would expect 1lb a week in fat loss. Don't get discouraged, it's a marathon. Just enjoy the ride. Eat healthy, work on raising your fitness levels (cardio and weight training). You will get there, just be consistent.
