It is healthy to lose 1% of your body fat per week so if my weight was in the 300s, I would set my profile to lose 3 lbs per week. There is no reason that you should only lose 1 lb per week. In any event, sometimes you have to play around with the numbers to see what works for you.

I remember the pain. I started cycling when I had plantar fasciitis because everything else caused pain. I had the injections and did a lot of stretching. I was also fitted for proper running shoes to avoid any issues in the future.

It is easy to lose focus when you are trying to do it alone. Like-minded people encourage accountability. Good luck with your journey. Feel free to add me!

It doesn't matter the activity that you do, just do something. Walking is a great form of exercise. Start there. Make a point to get in 30-45 minutes of walking everyday. Gradually, try to increase your speed. Do walking intervals: walking/speed walking. Next thing you know you'll add jogging and running. Don't stress out…

Oreo cookies, 2 cookies are 140 calories. I remember that I used to buy a big pack and eat one sleeve without any thought. Also Doritos, I bought a small bag to go with my sandwich the other day but did not realize they are 260 calories. Good thing I looked before I indulged.

Remember that the more you weigh, the more you will lose every week. A healthy rate is to lose around 10% of your body weight per week.

So during the past 8 weeks, you have lost 14 lbs. You have been losing a little more than 1.5 lbs per week. You are doing a fantastic job!

MFP suggests 1340 without exercise but when you workout you are able to eat additional calories. How many calories do you burn when you workout? If you are burning around 400-500 calories then the calorie suggestions seem accurate.

Congratulations on your weight gain! I am happy that you finally figured out the problem.

I am a lifetime member of WW. I lost 76 lbs in one year using their program. WW teaches you about making smarter decisions when it comes to food and controlling my portions. As they change their plan from time to time, I found that I wasn't able to lose weight like I originally did. I don't have any ill-feelings toward WW…

I've had sisterlocks for a little over 3 years now and I love them. I especially love the convenience when I workout. I wore my hear loose natural for six years prior to getting sisterlocks.

Feel free to add me. I am a lifetime member of WW. I had great success using them in the past. I've noticed with the last couple of plan changes that I don't see any results so I decided to try something different. I'm grateful for everything that I learned from WW but counting calories is so much easier and MFP is free!
