Bump! I love soup season!

Congratulations! My goal is to stop taking BP meds. I'm down 31 pounds, but I'm not sure when the right time is to talk to my doctor about it. Did you cut back gradually, or stop taking the meds all at once?

I went to the Chinese restaurant to pick up a veggie steamer for lunch and the lady who owns the place told me that I had lost weight and look good! :drinker:

In April 2012, my husband and I treated ourselves to a very nice stay at a mountain resort to celebrate the end of my busy season at work. We reserved the "all inclusive" package, which included the room and three meals per day for the duration of our three-day stay. Prior to going on the trip, I had to purchase a new…

Our "elf" cleaned up my daughter's playroom one day last year and baked cookies another day. I've heard of people turning their elves into little hellions, making messes and just creating chaos in their house. Obviously, those people have more time than I do to clean up self-inflicted messes. Our elf only does nice or…

In! My gym has a contest for who can plank (is this a verb?!) for the longest time. By September 30, I want to have my name on that wall of fame!

I love this! It's so true! My HRM has a special spot and I always, always put it away. However, I can't find my favorite necklace anywhere. Last time I saw it was when I took it off at the gym so I could lift weights. I'm guessing it's gone forever. Boo!

Feel free to add me! I'm 35, a mom, and here strictly for the weight loss. I started out running (only) and then started lifting weights when a nasty case of shin splints got the best of me. Now I actually prefer lifting to running, although I have this crazy idea about running a half marathon someday...

My husband and I have "date nights" once a month where we go to the gym, burn about 600 calories, and then go out for sushi. My favs are kanikama, ebi, cucumber rolls, spicy crab rolls, and a botz roll. Love, love, love sushi! I think it's time to schedule that date night.

Lifting weights has changed my outlook on exercise. I started off doing only cardio in May because I was scared to try lifting weights. My go-to machine was the treadmill, and I was working on the C25K program week 5. I lost weight (calories in vs. calories out), but my body shape didn't change. I was just a smaller…

12.35 miles/100. A nasty case of shin splints has kept me sidelined for the past week, but I'm easing back into things and can't wait to run again! Until then, it's calf raises and the elliptical machine.
