I've banned anything that gets passed thru a window. As a single guy, I used to eat two or three meals from drive-thrus. I still enjoy the fast food type staples like burgers and fries but I reserve those for meals out with family and friends.

Seeing the private bits without the aid of a mirror was a definite NSV moment for me on this journey. Congrats on the victory! Enjoy the view!

I'd like to get in on the fun if there's a slot open for Team USA.

Not only do you look amazing but that is a killer costume idea. Nice job on both fronts.

Lots of things keep me motivated. - Reading others success stories gets me going. - Looking at old photos and not liking what I see motivates me. - Remembering how unhappy I used to be keeps me going. - Just wanting to see how far I can go, how much I can improve, keeps me going. Things are better than they've ever been…

I watch the video. That's super hero stuff there. Way to go Brook!

Lucky you. You've reached your low point at 30 years of age. I didn't reach my low until 37. Man ol man, would I love to have those years back feeling like I do now. I've been where you are now. Feeling hopeless, worthless, angry, alone. I felt all those emotions every day.. He'll, I used to get angry when I woke up. Not…

Thanks for all the kind words and encouragement. As much as I credit the MFP tools for setting goals and tracking exercise and calories to make them work, I think it's all the encouragement and motivation from other members that have kept me going. Just look at the cross section of people who have responded to this thread.…

Thanks everyone. Major diet change. I cut out fast food and the majority of the prepackaged frozen foods. (I still enjoy my cheap frozen pizza.) Started eating lots of veggies, lean proteins, and fruit. Started eating breakfast most every day. I start out the day with a protein shake. Exercise began with walking. At 523…

You'll think with that many peppers the burger would be extremely spicy. The burgers didn't turn out quite as spicy as l had hoped for. They have a little burn in your mouth but you don't get the warming effect to your head and chest that I wanted. Here's a pic of the finished product that I forgot to add to the original…

Congratulations man. Yours is one of the stories I look at when I need some extra motivation to continue.

Awesome progress in a short time. Congrats Here's mine from a couple months ago. I've got a spreadsheet set up in Excel. The blue line is my progress. The red line connects my starting weight of 523 to my goal weight on 220 in my goal time of 3 years.

Woah, what a transformation! You look incredible. Way to go.

Congrats on your success. You've obviously put in a lot of hard work and look amazing for it. Just beautiful. (On a side note, thanks for the recipe advice. With your input, I now make a pretty darn good bean burger.)

I can't do anything without thinking of how my weight affects it. I look forward to just not thinking about it.

(edit : You figured out posting photos.) Impressive results. Keep it up!

Mine is open. I've logged everything since early June 2012.

Before - Summer 2010 - I was around the same size when I started in May 2012. Current - down 150 pounds Still got a ways to go but I'm looking forward to a summer 2014 pic.

I've been pretty committed since I started and have lost 155 pounds in 439 days.

Things have been going great all around. Tuesday marked my 430th day on MFP. Just staying committed has been a huge victory for me. On Monday I officially reached the halfway point to my goal weight (153 pounds down). People are noticing. A coworker who knows I'm trying to get fit told me that my weight loss was brought up…

Congrats. You look great.

I was diagonosed with a hypothyroid shortly after getting started last year. I'm on Levo. This is my first full out effort at losing weight and getting healthy so I'm not sure how much of an effect the medication is having. Things are going pretty well though.

I decided to buy myself a couple pair of jeans. The first pair are three sizes smaller than my "interview pants" I wrote about earlier. The other pair are six sizes smaller. I bought them small hoping that working to get them to fit would spark some motivation in me to break out of the funk I've been in lately. (the…

I've got a Polar FT80. No complaints at all. If I had to do it again I would buy a cheaper version from Polar because I don't use all the extra functions the FT80 has.

Impressive pics. Congrats on your success.
