Hi there! just turned 22 and almost a year here on MFP. I think this site is awesome, and it changed my life...feel free to add me!

I made it a goal to do 5 5ks before my first 10k. I think I did about a race a month for five months, maybe six, and then did my first 10k in may 2011 after my first 5k in october 2010, but everyone is different, its what feels right for you :)

Right now I am at 158 and I want to get to 146, which for my height is right in the middle of healthy. I think I am going to try not eating them back...doesnt make sense in my head how many times I try to work through it...and isnt working for my body. And really if I carefully portion things I dont get hungry on 1200 even…

I would say...and I have run the entire program through twice, and now use it as a guide to do what I feel like I can handle on any particular day, that it is completely acceptable to re-run weeks or particular runs until you feel comfortable doing all the intervals as they are and are ready for more (like you feel as if…

your vent could have word for word been written by me. I understand completely. It can be a helpless and depressing feeling when that lose of control occurs. Maybe some day I can moderate, for now, I have to simply attempt to drop things, and it is absolutely a daily challenge.

plain fage, fruit (either berries-blueberries or strawberries, or a nectarine and kiwi etc) spectrum ground flax seed with berries, cinnamon, and sometimes a little organic unsweetened applesauce :)

WTG!!I feel the same way! I want mine to show more, and ditto on the hip bones too! although those are still too buried, along with my ribcage :)
-
That is an INCREDIBLE difference!!! way to go and way to be suuuper brave!

a BIG no for me. I find that it bloats my stomach terribly, and I feel sluggish and heavy. Also, I read some article that the bodys response to artificial sweetener and regular sugar is similar, and I just dont want those spikes in my insulin production in response to blood sugar. Im all about the blood sugar stabilization…

i wouldnt do it as a diet per say, but I love green smoothies! I like spinach and blueberries and almond milk, or parsley and pineapple and blueberries, basically any frozen unsweetened fruit with the darkest greens possible and some ice and almond milk :)

you might try lowercasing the img

definitely under. I cant even imagine over or how that would be accurate. I have mine just under my sports bra band around my rib cage

well firstly, yes. the treadmill is boring, and sometimes sucks, especially for long runs. I think my tm max is like 4 miles. however, outside, where there is stuff to look at, fresh air, hills and sunshine, I can run and run and run with a max of more like ten miles. If you can, try to get outside. If you are stuck…

Yes, I agree with the HIIT....and if youre running a 5k regularly, try doing 2 miles at your comfortable pace, and one mile that pushes the limit a little bit. If you have a HRM you can monitor your heart rate and see where its at when you push yourself a little harder than you normally do. Also, I bought the Halloway…

awesome suggestions you guys! I am definitely going to the try the punpkin idea sometime :) yummy. I love spices in everything, always cinnamon, sometimes a little nutmeg too,

you look UNBELIEVABLE! I also have to say thank you for being so open and honest. I too ate in secrecy and binged as a teen, and its comforting to know someone else has gone through it and succeeded so incredibly. Keep up the amazing work!

ugh. yesterday my trainer and I were in the weight room, and the guy next to me was like....making this horrible coughing sound. like with phlem. or something. he sounded like he had something serious to get out of his lungs. or like he was about to die. gross!! if you sound like you belong in a sick bay dont come to the…

I would invest in a heart rate monitor. You will find that many of the calories burned calculations on here are very different from what a HRM says. I lost 15 pounds after my investment because it was giving me much more accurate numbers. Most of them are under 100 bucks

I want in!! I am flying to France the first week of June, if I even lose ten pounds I will be thrilled! and I love to give and get support form you guys :)
