I agree with Steph. 6-8 weeks is a plateau, and you may need to really shake something up to see the scale move. Sometimes that means adding intensity to how you workout, try doing a HIIT workout instead of just steady state cardio, or add more weight to your lifting. You may need to eat more calories...choose foods high…

if you can invest, the Tone It Up nutrition plan is ammaaazziinnggggg. I used it a lot for recipes over the summer, so clean and green and lean and I felt awesome. I still use many of the recipes. Today my day was: breakfast: protein muffin (rice protein powder, otas, flax, carrots, peaches, banana, egg whites, etc) + half…

I eat carbs before (like 10-30 mins before) half an apple, or half a banana. Always fruit, and a small amount. After I usually finish the fruit I started and drink a scoop of protein powder mixed with cinnamon and 1/4 cup milk. Alternatively I have trail mix after, or my morning meal. The protein is most critical after I…

I tend to crave the carbonation more than anything...so I substituted kombucha!! It has the fizz, and a little flavor, is good to REDUCE adic in the body versus what soda does which is increase it, and its super low cal! I like Synergy Cranberry, Passionberry, Mango etc. Also substitue tons of iced (unsweetened!) tea…

Yep I love quinoa too, it has a cool texture and tastes more robust. plus it doesnt sit like glue in my stomach the way I feel that rice does, and it has more protein.

Once when my trainer and I were doing medicine ball crunches, I lay back to catch the ball and it hit me square in the forehead!! And she felt sooo terrible and I was assuring her that it was 100% my fail lol. another time I stepped onto a treadmill, without checking it first, and it was MOVING!!! some *kitten* had left it…

I pretty much always always trust my HRM. It has my height age sex and goals built in, and I have success when tracking using it, so Im gonna say its more right than MFP or the machine.

I do a lot of hot yoga, and I notice a huge difference in my sweat(lol I dont make a practice of tasting it either but when youre drenched and doing upside down yoga poses kinda hard to avoid lol.) between days when I eat lots of sodium and drink only a little water and days when I eat less sodium and drink lots of water.

Im IN! my nutritionist last night challenged me to try No sugar and No gluten, Im all in cold turkey, I know myself as a person, and moderation is not an option for me right now. Looking to get over my plateau and feel better in general :)

Yep a calorie is a calorie. Alcohol (over consumption, at least for me) may lead to lowered judgement, inhibition and MORE FOOD. I always eat if I get wasted. It settles me stomach. That alone is a reason for me to avoid drinking too much. Also I always understood that since the liver is involved with metabolism of sugars…

like I posted :) I eat Ezekiel when I eat bread. And I have given it to kids too, honestly after a little initial complaining, after getting over the "newness" they liked it. The LOVE the cinnamon raisin version. The extra texture is really the main thing, and lack of sugar, but it freezes really well and lasts forever.…
