Fast Food Didn't Make Me Fat!

I did. It was my lack of control and my lack of exercise that made me fat. Just thought I would share this fact.

    Awesome to own that :) BUT fast food certainly didnt give your body the nutrients it needs to be fit and healthy and strong.

    Way to own up to it! However eating fast foods certainly contributes. Did you see the trainer who purposely GAINED 70 pounds. He had a 6 pack now hes gotta pot belly is lethargic and no motivation.

    Great accountability! It was your lack of control that made you fat but it's gonna be your restraint and drive that gonna be why you loss weight and go healthier! Good luck to you:wink:

    Fast food didn't make me fat either. Too much food and not enough moving made me fat.
    Personally, I think a quarter pounder with cheese is delicious. I intend to eat another one some day. I don't intend to eat one every day or even every week but I am not afraid to eat one now and then once I've reached my goal weight.

    I agree. We each choose what we are gonna put in our bodies and if we are choosing the fast food all the time versus healthly options then its no one's fault but our own when we get fat. Time to face the facts we choose how we want to be. I now choose healthly.

    No way I'm giving up fast food. I like my weekly McDonald's and Taco Bell. My approach is to make sure I get in my essentials daily, get my exercise and eat my calorie limit each day.
    Is eating cleaner a more efficient way to do it? Sure, but having experience competing and dieting for 12-16 weeks for a contest and eating bland foods with low carbs, I know that that's NOT how I want to live my life. I enjoy that "bad" cultural foods of my heritage and I enjoy it with family.

    Yes it does! But, I made the choice to continue to consume those meals. The things is that I have a Master in Public Health and I am a Certified Health Education Specialist (lol). It is time to take personal responsibility for the things that we do to our bodies. I just ate McDonalds for lunch. I monitored what I ate and I kept it within my workout goal for tonight. I have learned that no matter what I consume, I have to exercise if I want to be healthy.

    That's good to take responsibility for our actions. But gotta say ... it's just easier to stay away from fast food restaurants all together. Not much there is beneficial for my body. Maybe their grilled chicken salad is OK, if I have to ... but I'd rather have a BETTER salad from Central Market or Whole Foods (build my own).
    Now the longer I'm away from those junk foods, the more I hate it and it disgusts me. And I can live my entire life w/o having another fast food burger again -- happily!

    But really, do we really WANT to eat something that a 16 yr old cooked? yuck. Not to mention... have you seen those school science projects that show a McDonald's burger on Day 1 and then again on Day 30 or Day 60? No change. It doesn't rot. That's just not right. Real food should be fresh and should rot if it's sitting out.

    Word. It gets to a point were we have to ask ourselves why we continue to eat certain foods when we KNOW they are not in line with our goals.
