I adjusted MFP to approx line up with my BMR by losing less lbs/wk per my reading on this forum. Loss is steady at 1lb/week - totally got me "unstuck" from a plateau where I was netting 600-1200. Now I net 1400-1900 on an average day (exercise every day religeously) and am back to losing.

Hysterical.

I have lost more inches than lbs, honestly, thanks to a somewhat intense exercise regime of high intensity interval training bootcamp (1 hr -- 5-6 days/wk) and zumba (2-4 hrs/wk) though this is 32 lbs loss on me. I am 5' 4". 38 yr old mom of 2. I started the process on 6/1/12. Tops down 2 sizes. Pants down 2 sizes. Bra…

Gotta love the MFP poop talk. Normally I don't chime in but I shall say: since my hubby and I started eating super clean 5 months ago- poop talk has become every day. One would think clean eating would be easier for your body but it isn't. Lax time- just do it. Ps- I agree that fat helps.

Yep- if hungry eat those exercise calories back and you will STILL lose that set amount / week. If you workout a lot in a day, def eat some back unless you have a TON of weight to lose. If not and in too large of a deprivation- could slow weight loss.

Exactly.

Congrats. Exactly what it is about.

I use Cardio and added it myself. For 60 minutes I do 400 though I know I burn a lot more. WHenever I have worn my heart rate monitor- more like 600-800 though I fear overestimating so purposely underestimate

I only avoid bananas as higher on the glycemic scale though calories in-calories out. it shouldn't matter?!

Seriously? Wow!

Wow! Good stuff.

Thanks- will look into it! Interesting by Men's Health suggests 20 grams of protein (10 before and 10 after a workout). THey give food suggestions for those who prefer to eat their protein along with the correlating calories and serving sizes: http://www.menshealth.com/mhlists/protein-packed-snacks/

Just curious- what powder do you use? I tend to avoid them as high in calories and sugar. I saw one o another friend's diary from Trader Joe's and reasonable. That has been my true aversion to shakes and powders- cals, sugar, and labels I don't understand. I tend to eat clean.

When I get frustrated with my saggy skin and stretch marks on my tummy... I look at my boys. They are worth it. Come to grips, if SEVERELY stretched out- you can't regain elasticity in the skin. It will get better as you get smaller though.

Exactly. It is a personal journey. You are so in the wrong head space for success if you create your goals around what others like or prefer.

Can't believe how many people opt to drink the protein over eat it, post workout. I keep raw almonds in my car at all times. If I can't get home to get some decent protein in- almonds do the trick for me. I also try to intake within 10 min of my workout, per my trainer. If able to get home, I do hardboiled egg whites often…

Wow all- amazing.

My motto is if it ain't broke- DON'T FIX IT! If what you are doing is working for you- go with it! Only tweak if you stop seeing results.
-
That is true though I have taken the other approach by adding weight and pushing workouts harder.

Adjust to 1lb/week. I started at 1200- RIDICULOUS. At 1lb a week it is now 1600- realistic. If I am hungry or go out, no regret at ALL eating back exercise calories. The deficit is built it. Even if you eat them all back- you will still lose. I see it if this is a long-haul thing for you... you canNOT feel deprived.

OMG- you rock!! the photos crack me up!!! lol. congrats!!
