Last Thanksgiving compared to this Thanksgiving...

My best advice when it is bothering you? REST. Period. Take several days off and don't push it. Months of this struggle with PF: 2 MRIs, 3 sets of xrays, cortisone shots, stretching, therapy, anti-inflammatories, tape, sleeping boot, inserts, custom shoes, everything. Now I sport a lovely walking cast- 2nd week of…

I own the book. I have read it several times. To be fair, it has wonderful advice in it. WHen I find myself getting sloppy, I revisit it.

Ok- I will say it Bek. Sex is much better with 75lbs less between the 2 of you.
-
THat is amazing!

It would help if you open your diary. Maybe someone will spot something. The first 20 is always fast making subsequent loss PAINFULLY slow. Keep doing what you are doing: exercising, eating proper quality cals... the scale will jump! THat beings said, sleep may be your issue.

I am with you. I eat 1500-1900, try to keep my net 1400-1700. I was actually plateaued when I was eating 1200- for WHILE. Oh, and I was hungry. Started losing again when I upped my intake and I am MUCH nicer to be around! ;) This- I can maintain. 35sh lbs down since June 1, 2011. Half way there. My face- Thanksgiving this…

AMEN!

Love this!

PS- I still weight every morning despite the bloat. Becuase so, I totally understand my body's weight patterns, including retention due to hormones and sodium.

I cut myself slack on the wicked hormonal days. Rome wasn't built in a day. Sometimes easing up a bit is better than the world having to tolerate my already b*tchy self under deprivation. It ain't pretty... lol.

I am down 2 band sizes and 1 cup size. THe weight poured off my upper body though. Wish it would come off my *kitten* instead... ;)

Interesting!

That is exactly how I lose too- in steps. nothing for a week or 2 then BAM... 2-3 lbs in a week. I too weigh every day- 1st thing in the AM at the same time. It isn't for everyone, but for me- keeps my head in the game and serves as motivation. When I look at the big picture though or weeks vs lbs lost- right on target…

Most of my weight loss is thanks to HIIT, though many people in my program have been doing it a long time and having lost a lb. The key with HIIT is building muscles and strength. If people are trying to LOSE weight and don't pair it with a stellar diet and/or a few cardio sessions on the side- you won't see results on the…

I found out yesterday that STARBUCKS has protein powder they can add. One scoop adds 30 cals and 6 grams of protein. This AM I had a Grande 1 pump Skinny caramel latte with 1 scoop protein. My drink total? 150 cals and 19 grams of protein. Was tasty as usual...

I take Zumba, go to a local bootcamp, and bike Forest Park/Creve Coeur Lake when I can. I also do the stairs at CC Lake a couple times/month.

Turkey Trot in Town & Country is next Friday- the day after Thanksgiving. A 5K. http://www.town-and-country.org/Uploads/Parks/Park%20Events/registration%20flyer.doc

Longview Farm Park- gorgeous, wooded, trails, running water, horses. At Mason and Clayton in Town & COuntry. Walked it this AM. =)

Loaded with sugar and crap. Oatmeal is so easy to make. Sub 1/2 water for a little apple cider and add apples and a few pecans. Delish and SO much better for you...

You can friend me, Maggie!

7 inches on the waist is a LOT. COngrats. I wish I had taken measurements....

Before I had kids 13 years ago, I was honestly more of a pear. Post 2 huge babies and brutal c sections- total apple. Legs were the first place to spring back in this process. Last place to shape up and lose weight is 100% my midsection too. I SO feel your pain I am about half way there, though waist is finally starting to…

I think that people go through periods of recomposition. I also have noticed that after losing a decent amount I really had to kick up intensity at my workouts including wrist and ankle weights. SImply, when you don't weigh as much- you don't burn as many calories.
-
I love that there is a 5'4" strain- so inspirational! I have a ways to go, but this is 32 lbs on me... This was taken last week...

I'm so glad to see someone else address this. Only on MFP do I discuss these trivial parts about losing weight though I have never been so damn cold in my LIFE. Typically, I don't even really wear coats. It is shocking the difference losing 30+ lbs can make. Freezing all of the time now that Fall is here- have to layer…
