  • Level 1 Day 3 DONE! I had to go easy on the jumping jacks and skip rope, 'cos my left calf was really sore! But still did it with only a couple 5 second rests - much better that Day 1 and Day 2! I did about 5 minutes of stretching afterwards - now my thighs and calves feel worked, but not so painful - looking forward to…
  • Lunch tip: One thing that really helps me is cooking my skinless chicken breasts on a Sunday for lunches during the week. It will keep (cooked) in the fridge for 5 days. Then, I make sure I have tinned and frozen veggies to add to my lunches in case I don't have freshly cooked veggies left over from dinner. That sorts out…
  • I'm in... It will be great to have come company doing 30DS :flowerforyou: I did level 1, day 1 on Saturday - it KILLED ME! I had to keep on taking 5 second breaks! Yesterday, even though my legs were in agony, I did day 2 - did much better but my calves feel like they are tearing when I walk  . Thighs pretty sore too!…
  • You have inspired more than one person :flowerforyou: Thank you for sharing your wonderful success. Six pack, here you come
  • Hi. I am busy reading your book "How I lost 125 Pounds by COUNTING CALORIES" on Kindle. I highly recommend it to EVERYONE!!! A real eye-opener and I am now very happy following the COUNTING CALORIE way, including a hamburger once a week and a glass of wine with dinner every night :-) Not stressing about WHAT I am eating or…
  • I read it a couple weeks ago. My first day of fasting (dinner to dinner) was really easy and comfortable. Then, the second day was a bit harder. On Monday I fasted and REALLY BATTLED, so I had a beef and vegetable cup-of-soup -that did the trick and I manager the rest of the day until dinner. I think you must just listen…
  • I just read Brad Pilon's 'Eat-Stop-Eat' which goes into great detail as to how and why 24 hour periods of intermittent fasting work. He says that the extra energy on fast days is a common bonus amongst his clients. I wonder if it is because the body does not have to use energy breaking down and digesting food? After a…

  • Don't rely on the scale alone - take measurements of your hips, waist and thigh. Do that once a week and keep track that way. The scale does not tell you about body composition - it is affected by too many other factors as mentioned in previous posts. Mine bounces all over the place, but as long as my measurements are…
  • Are you tracking measurements as well as weight? It is very deceptive when the scale is not an accurate indication of your body composition. My scale weigh fluctuates madly, but my hip and waist measurements tell me if I am still on track or not. If those go up, then I know I have to re-look my eating plan and make sure I…
  • I have those days, too. I try to do more exercise on those days or the next day. And then I focus on my eating play for the following day, prepare everything and move on ;-) Also, make sure you have a good filling breakfast with healthy carbs and protein, and remember to eat your small meals every 3 hours - this really…

  • I also find that the scale goes up - yes, very disheartening  But I regularly measure my body fat percentage with a pair of calipers, and as long as that measurement does not go up, I feel a lot better. :flowerforyou: Created by MyFitnessPal.com - Free Weight Loss Tools
