  • Stay at home mom :)
  • No SAHM option either. :( Unless that falls under Hospitality? lol
  • As someone born and raised in SoCal... Nice place to live? There are places like that? ;) Just kidding. Avoid Riverside, San Bernardino, Moreno Valley - that whole part of SoCal. Really. Since it's been a while since I lived there myself, I can't say I remember any specifically "nice" places, but I sure as heck can tell…
  • I had all of mine cut out a few years back. It's going to sound really weird, but I overcooked noodles and swallowed them without chewing, haha. Maybe not the bast for you, but it got the job done. :)
  • Weekly Goal: 3500 Mon: 630 (Karate - Kata, kicks, jumping jacks, pushups) Tues: 1511 (Karate class) Wed: 218 (Jumping jacks / Kata) Thur: 314 (kata, pushups, squats, jumping jacks, planks, crunches) Fri: calories burned (how they were burned) Sat: calories burned (how they were burned) Sun: calories burned (how they were…
  • Yoga pants and a tank top at home, and I'm in a Gi while in class. Both times I don't wear socks or shoes, because martial artists never do while training.
  • Ok, in that respect, is it then better to have it calculated in your TDEE or to log each and every exercise separately?
  • ;) I like the title change from last time. As I said before, great post!
  • I'm a SAHM... I don't homeschool, but I *was* homeschooled - does that count?
  • Welcome aboard! I'll warn you ahead of time that you're not going to see numbers that high in one week ever again, most likely. Don't get discouraged! Just keep at it and eventually it'll all come off. :) Feel free to add me if you'd like a friend.
  • I love the post and the info contained within it, but I was wondering if this was a "No 1200 TOTAL" or "No 1220 Net" post? During the day I'm lazy as anything, sitting on the floor to play with my daughter or surfing the web, so I set myself to sedentary. Then I use a HRM to log my nightly exercise, which can get high…

  • Well said! I have mild Cerebral Palsy, and my doctors warned me early in life that if I didn't stay active and STRONG, I was going to be unable to tend to myself by the time I'm 55-60. I saw a doctor a few years ago and he told me that as active as I am, there's a chance I'll stay out of a wheelchair and be self-sufficient…
  • Oooh, server? And what class are you playing? If you just-JUST started, you should know that Warriors are OP and Necros are really warlocks that like to melee. ;)
  • Take a martial arts class! Haha. Those kicks do wonders for your thighs. :)
  • Also, can I just say - how awesome was Rift? Like, the gameplay. The story was "meh", but oh man, the PVP was great and the artifacts were addicting to collect.
  • Blackgate. :D I did SWTOR, but the "world" drove me nuts. It was such a pain to do any quests, or get anywhere.
  • When I have depressive episodes, I don't give myself the option not to work out. It may start slow, but once I get moving I *always* feel better. Also, are you giving yourself room to have treats? I avoid depression by eating my daily calories in "real" food, then eating my exercise calories in treats. It may not be as…

  • GW2 here! Formerly WoW... until they decided to add pandas. Sigh. Silly Blizz. I've done SWTOR, Rift... most of the MMOs that have come out in the last 7 years, honestly. No LoL though.
  • When I was really, REALLY little, I used to think that if a black person married a white person and had a baby, that was how you got a Mexican kid. Shush, I was like, six!
  • @KarenJanine - Thank you! This is exactly what I was wondering. I'd suspected as much, but wasn't sure I was recording it properly. :)
  • The WORST is when TOM hits, and I gain 5lbs overnight! I try my hardest to skip that week entirely, because it's just depressing. Most days I weigh in a couple of times a week - whenever I happen to be naked in the morning. Too cold to strip just for that.
  • New clothes - ones that fit well and look good! My "real" goal is to drop a jean size, so I'll need new pants at the very least, and why not get some fun shirts that flatter my new figure?
  • I train Karate in a class 2x a week, and train a mix of karate and TKD at home almost every night. I used to do a twice-a-year competition for TKD, but since leaving Colorado I haven't found one I'm interested in that isn't incredibly far away. :-/
  • I give myself a treat each night if I exercise away the calories first, but what I really miss are milkshakes. :( I don't think I can possibly burn 1k calories in a night to have one, lol! They were my absolute favorite treat in the whole world...
  • When my antidepressants made it almost impossible for me to sleep, my doctor put me on Xanex. It's for anxiety, and helps your mind calm down so you can fall asleep, which had been my problem. I used it only if I couldn't fall asleep after an hour and a half of laying in bed, or when I woke up at night and couldn't get…

  • I make sure to eat all my daily calories on healthier things during the day, and then at night if I want a "bad" snack I make myself exercise long enough to burn the calories first. It makes me decide if I REALLY want that snack, and it makes me get off my butt and exercise! lol
  • I'm at 141 right now. Several years ago I was in the best shape of my life - almost no fat, strong body. My weight at that time was 122. Since then I've had a baby, so I figure I will probably never reach that weight again. My first goal weight is right around 130-132, and if I can manage that, I want to get down to…
