My little girl is three now, but when she was little I did a workout similar to this that I was taught in a class: http://www.parents.com/parenting/moms/healthy-mom/mommy-and-me-workout/ Think of your little guy as a weight, and they LOVE it. My daughter would giggle the whole time, and it was an insane workout because she…

First to go was my belly pooch, thank goodness! I mean, I lost everywhere, but the belly was the noticeable thing.

Gosh dang, the house was a mess!) Fri: 1200 (Karate. I know earlier I posted this as 1000, but class tonight was BRUTAL, and 1200…

I was addicted to sugars when I started. I beat it by giving myself a set time and a set limit on how much and when I could have them. In my case, I told myself I could have as many sweets as I exercised off the calories for beforehand, and only after dinner. Knowing they were coming kept me strong enough to resist during…

When my cycle hits, the first thing I remind myself is that my cycle comes slower and shorter when I exercise. ;) Maybe I'm just lucky in that respect, but it's generally enough to get me off the couch. It really does help with cramps though, if nothing else. AND it improves my mood, which my husband appreciates. ;) Just…

I've been doing really well rationing sweets, but ack, I fear the day my cookies arrive. >_< Samoas will be the death of my willpower, but I couldn't say no to my husband's niece. :(

On my 27th birthday (this July!) I'd like to be down to 130. That's 8lbs away, but it's going to be slow going, and I can't really hope for more than that. (Not that I'd complain if I lose more!) 8lbs would let me feel amazing again, and not be afraid to wear a bathing suit in public. :)

Ok. No more excuses for me. Tired from meds or no, I am GOING to work out again! Another good thing to note is that if you're female, many of us ladies gain 5+lbs the week before our TOM. It goes away sometime during your cycle. :)

464. I only shoveled the walk - we have a snow blower for the insanely long driveway. ;)

Hello there! My husband is an Army recruiter. First of all, ask your recruiter if they have a PT session you can start attending. Most recruiting stations do, and it'll get you started on the way the military works. They may ask you to lose a little of the weight first - every station has a different idea of when to let…

Here in northern NJ we wound up getting about 5-6 inches. Looks like the roads are already open and there's a good deal of traffic, so I'm hopeful things will be back to normal for us by tonight.

I'm reading the "Ender's Shadow" series by Orson Scott Card... for like the 100th time. It's snowing, and gloomy, and that's my "comfort reading!"

I usually gain 3-4 lbs and it starts a week before and tends to leave by mid-cycle. I drink loooots of water and work out every day - believe it or not, it can help you feel better!

I'm a SAHM, and because my husband loves to snack, there's always plenty of temptations around, though he tries to keep them out of sight. I found the way to avoid temptation for me was to set a time at night, after dinner, when I could have a snack. Knowing it's coming keeps me from snacking during the day, even when I'm…

My suggestion? Throw the scale away! Inches are way more important than the numbers on a scale. Do you feel better? Do your clothes fit better? Then you're doing great! Numbers are just numbers, and muscle weighs more than flab.

I've come to terms with the fact that my husband is a beanpole. lol. The other day he was complaining about his "pudge" and I looked him in the eye and said, "Honey, you drink three or four cans of Coke a day. Chips and salsa every night. Two cupcakes. Oreos. And you wear a size small. You have NO right to complain."
-
Rule of thumb is to drink so your urine is light yellow/clear. If you eat fruit or veggies, you're getting more liquids than you realize. And that coke counts towards the water goal! Personally, I usually only manage five or six glasses of actual water a day, and I always pee clear.

The butt of my jeans is getting saggy. :flowerforyou: I love it! (Though I wish my thighs would shrink...)

Weekly Goal: 4,500 (Last week was 4k, but I slacked a couple of days and still made the goal, so up it goes!) Mon: 601 (kata - low, med, and full speed/power, sumo squats, pushups, jumping jacks. Not bad for someone who's sick!) Tues: 1200 (Karate - the usual tues/fri estimated burn during class!) Wed: Taking the night…

As a mom myself, I think you'd be amazed how much you really move around with kids to tend to. I know when I began I felt like I was probably the laziest person ever, but someone pointed out to me how often we get up and do things for/with our kids. Once I saw they were right, it was easy to find ways to get just a little…

My trouble started with the tablet I got this winter. Big enough to comfortably surf the web, small enough to do so while laying down.

;) Because we all sleep staring at our computer screens. Well, I used to, but that's another story entirely.

I did the gym thing for six months. The pros were simple: better equipment, less chance of slacking off. The cons were drive time, self-consciousness about exercises I wasn't good at yet, and having to bundle up my daughter to get there. Now I mostly work out at home, and the pros are that I can start and finish within an…
