I get the same way. I have been prepping and portioning out my snacks a week at a time, to include weekends. I find if I have something healthy around that I don't have to take the time to measure and weigh, I'm more likely to eat it. I tend to sleep in on weekends as well, which derails my whole food schedule for the day.…

I started running almost a year ago! I ran my first 5k last July. I don't remember exactly but I had wanted to run one in May or June but I just wasn't ready. I think, even if you may feel like you can do more, you should stick to the training program. I think it's okay to skip ahead by no more than a week but I mean stick…

The best thing you can do is go to the doctor. I got headaches in HS and they progressively got worse. It wasn't until my second year of college that I ended up going to the doctor because of them. I started missing both class and work and that wasn't acceptable to me. I started to log all of my migraines. Start time, end…

I only log my water as water. Anything else gets added under beverage.

You are amazing! Congratulations! Your story is so inspiring.

Music, read, exercise, favorite beverage.

Smile politely, say thank you, and continue on.

I have two favorites. Both of my wrist tattoos. I love love love this picture of them.

I am currently on day 21 of the challenge and am a Distributor. Feel free to add me and message me with any questions. OP - as with everything, what works for one person may not work for others. Is eating exactly like you are supposed to on the challenge sustainable for the rest of your life? No, probably not. But if you…

When I started running about a year ago, I got shin splints. I did a lot of reading up on it and though I tried switching from heel striking to mid-foot striking, I'm still a heel striker. I found that I was just running too fast. When I slowed down, I felt so much better. I currently run between 4 and 4.5mph with no…

I've been logging 455 days and have recently been eating new recipes. Feel free to add me!

I would just like to say that I can run for miles and my bad knee feels perfectly fine but if I walk for one mile, it hurts a lot and gets stiff. Definitely thought it would have been the other way around when I started running about a year ago.

Ugh. I wish my 5K time was better. But at least I can do a 5K! My best mile was like 9minutes, but I can't sustain that pace past that first mile. My best 5K time is 43:something. I think half an hour for a 5K is pretty standard as I have a slow pace and short stride but definitely don't get discouraged if you go over that…

I'm 5'1" and my goal is 135-140ish. I'll re-evaluate once I get closer to that point.
-
Congratulations!! I started at 16, am currently in 14 and hope to get down to an 8 or 6. You look awesome! Thanks for the motivation!

I think that dress is beautiful! Definitely okay to wear as long as it doesn't match the colors of the bridal party.
-
Congratulations, ladies! Hubby and I got married in August 2012 and I wish I started this journey before that.
-
Congratulations on your little one! I'm 24, lost 15lbs already, looking for about 30 more.

When I snack at work I munch on hummus with carrots, celery, cucumbers, etc., which are obviously very low calorie foods. So on the days where I struggle, I eat some peanuts or almonds (I'm allergic to most other nuts). That provides for a nice sweet crunchy treat.

I started running in April 2013. I hated it all through school and one day I just got the urge to go run. Even today, after 2 official 5ks, I still find myself doing walk/run intervals. I agree that April of this year is a very lofty goal. If you get injured and need a week or more to recover, you're already off track. If…

Air pop, honey, cinnamon. Delicious!

Not doing optifast but posting to let you know that you are probably going to get a lot of negative and snarky comments, though many of the posters are trying to be helpful. Either read their comments and consider/research what they suggest, or brush it off. Either way, welcome to MFP and good luck!

I bought the Flex in August and thought about whether I should wait and ask for one for Christmas. I should have waited. I really want the Force. The flex is like the Force but doesn't have the external display and doesn't track flights of stairs. I wear my Flex daily, have worn it to weddings and everything. If anybody…

I am an Advocare Distributor. And freaking love Spark. I'm currently doing the 24 Day Challenge because I wanted some structure to create healthier habits. Also, my dad sells Herbalife. I drink their shakes for breakfast because for me, they're free, he just gives me a canister. Can't beat free. My take on the whole "fad"…

Bump for reading later.

I'm still struggling for a routine and I've logged on here for 395 days in a row. In regard to the food your in-laws cook, just use portion control. Buy yourself some healthy food/snacks that don't need to be refrigerated and keep them in your room. I'm doing a Challenge starting January 1 and told my husband that prior to…

This is awesome! Congratulations! I took me several tries to get through all of that day.

Truth. Except maybe chocolate.

Love this response! The Challenge is marketed to be a jumpstart to weight loss, to help break through plateaus, and just when you need a good kick in the butt with some structure to get back on track. It isn't necessarily meant to be an end-all, be-all, rest of your life thing. You will pick up some amazing habits on the…

I think it really depends on your goals. Are you trying to lose weight in the process? If yes, a HRM would definitely be more beneficial since it'll be more accurate in recording your calories burned for you to track than what MFP or gym machines calculate. If you are simply training and going by mileage and don't care so…
