Natural, simple food - can't beat it. I've stopped hiding my food in dressings/ mayo - a little olive oil and lemon juice is a perfect dressing. Also got over my dislike for oatmeal, always hated the texture, now I eat it every morning, not the packages kind, old fashioned oats with brown sugar, crasins and hazelnuts,…

Hello all I am not a Vegan however am interested in making change toward that. I recently (from another thread here) was given a website with a 21 day jumpstart program for Vegans - I haven't officially started this yet but have found some wonderful recipes and meal ideas - so here is the link, you may find it helpful…

I do pulled pork as well, however instead of coooking it in the BBQ sauce I put a sliced onion in the bottom of the pot, lay the pork roast on top of that, 2 cups of water and 1 can/bottle of beer - cook that for 6 hours on low, then drain, pull the pork, return to the CP and add the BBQ sauce for another hour.…

Good morning - I just checked out the website - This looks like a really interesting program - I've signed up and will start on Monday as well. I'm not currently a vegetarian but do eat more vegetarian meals all the time, this may be a great way for me to make a transition and I love the healthy meals. Good luck!

I toss in a bit of Crasins and Sliced Almonds with 1 Tbs of brown sugar.

I did - over 3 years ago now. It is possible - I'd say about a week was what it took for me. It's an adjustment - I replaced mine with Iced Tea for a while so I was still getting some caffeine, I think breaking from the carbonation was the hardest. I don't miss it at all! Good luck to you. Your body will thank you.

I've made turkey burgers with chopped up mushrooms, a good portion of mushrooms increases the bulk (more patties per pound) and brings down the calories, adds a great meaty flavor too!

Welcome - I'm not far from you - in Topeka. You will love this site - so easy to use. Best of luck to you.

Isn't hindsight great! I was 33 10 years ago. I would tell myself to more quickly get out of the marriage that wasn't making me happy. I would tell myself to immediately look up my birth mother and enjoy every day with her, she passed away 5 years ago only 11 months after I met her. I would tell myself to enjoy my single…

I'm looking forward to the movie. I very much enjoyed the book. Even though it was a bit indulgent it was such a great perspective on moving on from troubled relationships which is what I'm working on myself. It may not speak to everyone but it definitely hit home with me. I think Julia Roberts will be great to watch on…

I was intrigued so did a quick search - found this recipe. I think it would be great with apple slices or low fat Graham Crackers Chocolate Chickpea Spread 1 15-Ounce Can Chickpeas 1 Tablespoon Peanut Butter 3 Tablespoons Olive Oil 1/2 Cup Dutch-Processed Cocoa Powder 1/2 Cup Granulated Sugar 1 Teaspoon Instant Coffee…

I love tuna too - this sounds wonderful. This would also be good with Northern Beans or Garbanzo beans in place of the pasta - I've found I love the combo of Beans and Tuna - just rinse them well if you use canned, makes for a very filling meal - try it in a whole wheat tortilla as a wrap, maybe with some lettuce and…

You could also look at insoles rather then replacing the shoe, they have many varieties to fit different needs at running or sporting goods stores.

Dont forget you can change it up too - works great with pork and green tomatillo salsa as well! Just use the same basics and you've got a whole new taste!

I highly recommend a padded gel seat - Target or Walmart has them - under $20.00 well worth the investment. Spinning is fantastic, great workout! I used my padded gel seat for the first two months, now I don't need it any longer, your body does adapt, the gel seat really helped get me through those first two months. I had…
