Hi Catsph - when you are sprinting, what is your speed like?
-
Very good article. I can really relate. I want to exercize to reduce weight and have vitality. I want to enjoy activities which I cant do now because of lack of fitness. I am not aiming for olympics, nor for a superb sculpted physique. A lot of guys have been putting pressure on me saying that I am doing things all wrong.…

Culley - I have just started c25k. I dont like running so much. Yr post gives me something to look forward to.
-
Very good. I'll ry cod liver oil.
-
It happens to me too - only its a lot worse than what you described. I got my micros checked and found LOTS of deficits. You mentioned "walk". Walking is a fairly boring exercize. You can easily walk and think. What thoughts do you think when you walk? In my case, my thoughts usually turn to past losses and ungrieved…

I did it! I just finished c25k Wk-1, Day-1. Thanks to all you guys and gals for support. Before I started I was a little down and depressed. All past failures at being fit and at other activities flashed before me. Thanks to your kind words, I decided to give it a try. As you all said, I jogged at a liesurely pace.…

I too am going slower than I expected - so you are someone to look up to

Do u need to do them every day or every alternate day??

I know EXACTLY how you feel. I lost a pound every week for first two months. Then it plataeud for a month. Then I lost some, and gained it all back. Why? I really dont know.. So i am basically where i was 6 weeks ago. pooooooh!!!
-
I'm impressed!!! I can do 2, and 2 only. Dunno what to do.
-
EzrisMommy, That IS great. I am waiting for my back muscle catch to heal, so that I get started on running. Haven't run in 20+ years. Maybe I could do the 9 mile in 1-1/2 years, huh??
-
How wonderful! I too will now try and see what I can do in one year. I am taking your slogan - "I dont have a goal weight, I have a goal life" as my own inspiration. Woveeeeee!!!
-
Wov!!! What Progree man!!! Wov!!!

I feel able to dream of a life that is "CPAP free" after reading Driver's Posts. Thaks to Driver
-
People like me look up to you and say to themselves - "Patient! Be Batient!! Have Faith!!"
-
Sorry. Deleted Posr
-
Wov! I am suffering from apnea - 15 times per min. I use the CPAP. It has helped me a LOT. But tell me, how did you cure your Apnea. What did you do? I am a still-sufferer.
-
Serious stretching (40 mins a day) interferes with other activities, because I am starved for time.
-
You are right. I am right now relaxing from back pain due to over stretching. I stretch upto 40 mins on "stretching" days, and 10 mins on "wt training days"
-
Is that possible? only 2 days of wt training/wk and 2 days of jogging per week? Will that help? I was under the impression that you need at least 3 days per wk for seeing results.
-
Very Good!!! I am inspired to continue and "wait out the slow process". Looking at your photos, I feel that my faith has got boosted a bit.

God Bless You

I have been fighting depression since God knows how many years. Its tiring really. I have everything I need to make a man happy. But the attack comes all of a sudden. I am surviving only on meds. I am sending u a friend request.

I feel nice after reading this - especially because I am about to start some light weiughts soon

Whenever I see my weight lost, I think more of how much I have to lose, and less of gains already made. In my mind, fitness is still (emotionally) a destination - though I know it should be a journey. I have to take up small victories, but I end up hating myself. Patience is sooooooo hard!!!
-
There is a lesson here for all of us. Fitness is a LIFE LONG process. There is no end. No goal. Just eating good food and moderate exercize as a way of life. I myself am so susceptible to these breaks... I must watch out. We all must.
-
Karen, you said "I know I should be looking at how much progress I've made, but my brain likes to switch to how much that I still have to go. :( " Yeah! However, I feel that I can go through it, PROVIDED I get emotional support. (I think most of us can). Its critical to reach out. Success is far side of failure. Yet, if we…

My story is absolutely similar and at the same time completely different to the stories here. I am happily married and have a supportive wife. However, memores of past traumas and what could have been, haunt me. I find it difficult to exercize because of that. Most days I want to cry. Some days I do break down and cry.…
